So nice to hear. I'm a Christian that is like an alien here in America who understands what has been going on over there. I love people. I care about all equally. And it hurts to see Division of kindness of ones that if govt wasn't involved being friends anywhere regardless of differences in faiths or traditions..we are people who should be free to reach out and get to know one another.. cuz we just might find out we we like each other no matter What govts tell us we are to think. I have few Christian friends cuz I don't see them representing me or the Lord I serve.

The problem is, the Israelis are not allowed to visit Palestine. The Palestinians with work permission are allowed to be in Israel. That's the problem and this creates mistrust in many items. I think and wish, Israelis should know more about Palestinians and their lives. But because of politics and some security issues it's not possible. As Israeli I also used to visit Palestine a lot and totally understand Salouki.

@@mctouring Not quite. There are scores of Israeli settlers in the West Bank - and their number keeps growing fast - many of them harassing Palestinians daily under the permissive watch of the Israeli military, who does absolutely nothing to protect them (to put it politely). Israelis are also exempt of curfews and other restrictions in the West Bank which only apply to natives. Bethleem, for instance, has been encircled by Israeli settlements preventing Palestinians to access their land and livehoods. As a result there's an ongoing exodus, which, as we all know, is the ultimate aim. Other Israeli Jews live inside the town in a kind of apartheid regime. Palestinians had to install netting over the street to prevent the objects that the Israelis throw at them from their windows hitting them. Many Palestinians all over the West Bank sleep outside in the fields with a watchful eye in fear of being attacked in their homes by settlers. Not good. Perhaps part of the (or possibly the main?) reason why Netanyahu's far right government doesn't want you to go there is because they don't want you to know the real situation there. Nor - god forbid - empathise with their struggle. Imagine Israelis learning that they are just normal people with legitimate reivindications, and not the animalistic, blood thirsty creatures that the dehumanising zionist propaganda has tried to make them pass by for the past 75 years

@UTU
@UTU 9 ай бұрын
@@trollnerd I'm sure they are suffering to some extent, it's not easy to be ruled by an organization that cares mostly about destroying an enemy and hardly about the citizens. It's also not easy, due to that regime, to live in a zone that has no airports or ports and no real freedom of movement neither to Israel or to Egypt. Suffering is real, but is it the worst place to live? Probably not. I'd take Palestine over many African countries and possibly some Asian or south American countries. Possibly even better to be there than in SOME Muslim countries.
@trollnerd
@trollnerd 9 ай бұрын
@@UTU A lot of that "suffering" is self inflicted. The reason why Palestinians can't travel freely to Ben Gurion airport or to the Tel Aviv port is because they refuse to end their pointless and destructive war with Israel. I'm sure Israel would be more than happy to set up corridors which would provide Palestinians access to air and sea if the Palestinians were willing to recognize Israel and make peace. But in the current state, those corridors would just be used as a means for terrorists to kill innocents

I think that the most ethical thing would be for the salukie to reach out via facetime to the people he has captured on video and explain to them that he is Israeli, and capture their reaction (with permission, of course). He should discuss with them why he introduced himself as Argentinian rather than Israeli and hear their reaction. This would add a layer of complexity, vulnerability and honesty to these otherwise interesting and novel interactions.
@user-jr9pr5zf4y
@user-jr9pr5zf4y 4 ай бұрын
Not really, it would be pretty understandable even if they had a negative reaction. You have to understand, Israel is forcing them to live under brutal and inhumane occupation. Imagine if a German (not a nazi) went into the Jewish waresaw ghettos or concentration camps as a visitor if they knew he was a German they may not be as welcoming. In this case it’s the same mentalities. At least he as an Israeli can come and go , there is risk of course not Nothing compared to or even possible for a Palestinian in West Bank to attempt to do what he is doing

Just a few months ago you could visit “free” Gaza! Israel has not been present there since 2005. Why didn't you visit? Pro-Palestinian hypocritical people in the world do not study history, but express their opinions. This world is mentally degenerating!

Bro... foreigners will not be able to grasp the amount of risk you are putting yourself into. To illustrate, like a random dude jumping into the Lion's cage in a zoo and playing with them for a while. Of course, I mean no disrespect to the Palestinians. A very friendly family in this video, hopefully there is peace one day, in our lifetime.

Be safe man. I'm sure you know what's going on right now. The wrong Someone suspects you are israeli and it could end very bad God forbid. Maybe do a tour of the golan heights. I heard you can actually go to the rooftop of the former Syrian ministry building Eli Cohen spied in. It's abandoned but you can view the trees he had planted next to Syrian bunkers. That would be a cool vid.

I think most Palestinian families think if you have no animosity towards them it doesn't matter if you are a Israel a European or from any other part of the world as long as you can understand they also have a grievance they would welcome you with open arms and that is brone out from Salukies video.
