Having My own land and a sawmill with plenty of trees to cut has been a dream of mine for over twenty years and it is finally a reality! In this video I show you how I built a base and setup my sawmill with an extra long bed to cut massive beams! Enjoy and don't forget to leave a comment.

The video is surreal. Not being able to find the waterline was jolting to the senses and, at the same time, overwhelming in its beauty. Timeless video. Thanks

As i was watching, i got sidetracked by work for a minute. I looked back over at the video at 13:12 and had lost track of the scale of the sawmill head. So when Adam came back into frame a few seconds later, he looked like a ten foot tall giant. :)

great video and great to see you be part of the sawmilling community. Just a thought, the issue with sawing 30ft logs is the handling not the actual sawing - but I do envy your 30ft capacity ;-). It was not quite visible in the video, but think about the whole process from getting the log there, placing it on the mill, sawing it and then storing the cut timber. All the best from Sweden, keep on rocking! Best, John

You really need to pour a concrete pad. Your mill is resting on a dozen small independent concrete piers. Each will inevitably settle after dropping logs on them at different rates and you'll be constantly having to shim them back up. The trackhoe helps as you can gently put the logs on the sawmill.
