Put a heat gun on to the bumper trims to bring the dark colour back. The heat brings the oils in the plastic to the surface, for a long term finish.

I just mask it up and use matt black spray paint.. I think it looks much more better and lasts longer

I use that same Simoniz shampoo as well. I do use hot water from the tap for the bucket though. Generally gives good results, but i wash each panel allot slower than you were doing. And i just wash 1 panel at a time and rinse off with the hose. This helps to stop streaking. But as you noted, the paint finish is not great at the moment so no worry. But once youve mopped it then it will need looking after correctly.

That should pass without too much trouble. The Corsa I was working on passed the MoT last year and is currently parked outside my front door. I've just finished the last few remaining jobs that were outstanding from the engine swap and I now need to address the non-starting problem. I think I've narrowed it down to a lack of spark or injectors that aren't working.

Change the sidelight bulbs, not sure if they actually are in person but they come across as almost purple/blue on video so would be an MOT fail as they are the “incorrect colour” (not white or yellow)

Put a pair of so called Aero wipers, it will give the car a modern upgraded like. I have put a pair on my Corsa and they are great and they don't sound as well. Keep going James. Way to go brother.

The washer pumps are very common on these . Due to the small washer reservoir people run out of fluid and burn the motors out lol

All those grey trim plastics need some "Smooth peanut butter". Spread it on thinly, but rub in really well. Do not wipe off any excess. Leave it for a few days and you will be amazed. Far better than trim gel products. Typically lasts for about 6 months too !.

A small tip that may save anyone time if you are not getting any washer fluid out the jets but the pump is working and there is fluid in the bottle try a pin in the jet holes as shit gets stuck happend to me a few times, ps i always drop my clay bar on the floor 😞

New MOT regs start in May, lighting, cat & egr deletes from factory spec could fail you, 1.2 to 1.8 may cause a problem with Tax band. But I wish you well. Great channel.

Hay mate, what is the situation with passing MOT with a changed motor? In my country (Bulgaria) it is close to impossible to change the motor of a vehicle and have it legally driving on the road.

This is a bit of a long shot. I have a 2005 Corsa C 1.2 Twinport. (Petrol) I recently had a dash cam fitted and it got hardwired from Halfords so didn't see the complete process happen. But since then I have been told today my reverse lights are not working. Neither of them. Checked the fuses. None of them are blown. Could anybody please help me on this situation. (Already thought of trying F26 with a 20AMP fuse but no luck)

It would be great to see you polish and buff the car with a machine so the paintwork looks brand new and maybe spray the grey trim to match the rims more. After the MOT xenon bulbs would look nice and LED brake and reverse lights look way better than the OEM ones. Maybe a Savage Garage sticker or too would be cool 😎
