✈ Need Help With Your Move? thesavvyexpat.framer.website/ Full Disclosure: The intent of this video is to showcase one side of life you typically don't see on all these "Live Like a King on $500/Month" videos. I'm showing a different side of life to one; give insight into what it looks like to live here on a higher budget and two; showcase what the other side of life looks for the top earners in the Philippines. By all means, I am completely aware that most retirees are coming here to stretch their pension. I'll put it like this - everybody has a different lifestyle preference and income. If this lifestyle doesn't suit you or your budget, no worries! You can still live a great lifestyle out here in the Philippines. I suppose this was a reality check for most in regards to what the high end rental market looks like in Manila. Hope this video still provided much value to you nonetheless.

Well explained. Thank you for sharing this video. Financial education is certainly necessary for more than 80% of the society in the country, because there are very few people who are knowledgeable on this subject. The value of the US 🇺🇲 dollar is decreasing due to inflation, but it is increasing when compared to other currencies and commodities such as gold and real estate. I am worried that the rising inflation will reduce the value of my $550,000 retirement savings. However, with Maria's help, I have earned $220,000 this week from an investment of $45,000. I am truly grateful for all the knowledge and valuable information you have given me these past few months.

Better rent a house with a big yard. They cost less. Only lazy ass people rent condominiums nowadays.
@robocop581Ай бұрын
So rent a house in a subdivision and spend three to four hours a day in traffic versus living in a condo in the middle of a CBD where everything is walking distance. Not only that, good luck getting an Ambulance in your subdivision and getting to the hospital in two hours. Great advice

@@1375chelsea this is SPOT ON. I'm here in malate looking at beautiful manila bay view condos for 35k-50k 2bed condos...they all look vacant for months. Buy chips and drinks for security guards at condos you look at, they know all the details of the building, owners, managers, vacancies.. it's their job.

These are nice units, what are the lease terms? Are these prices all inclusive (all building fees & utilities, wifi, etc)? I assume these units have generators and 24/7 security. How about the elevators, are they zoned and 100% operational? I like these units and appreciate seeing these properties, though I do believe these are a bit overpriced. how negotiable are they?

They're pricing at air BNB rates, one night or 10 years. Negotiable upward based on your capacity to pay more.

I don't see a problem paying 2k for those units. What the hell, my retirement income will be over $6000/month. It's only money. Why not spend it on a nice condo in an upscale part of Manila? Can't take it with me in the end.

Overpriced dump. No wonder condos remain empty in Manila and tanking. Real estate investors and developers are getting too greedy. Make the price lower to match regular Filipimo salaries. You're basically pricing these condos for foreign investors and income 😂

An expat showed the cottage he rented on the oceanfront in Sri Lanka. Steep discount by paying 1 yr advance rent $600 for 1 year. So why Makati? Sri Lanka economy is in the tank right now, so cheap living. Plus, 70% of its citizens believe in karma, so they treat others exceptionally well. It's a happy country. I'm just sayin'.

Hi Rahim, please choose Ortigas. It has 6 huge malls close to each other, walkable, near Greenfields district, I love the zoning design of the Otigas Center, near Greenhills Mandaluyong, also walkable towards the beautiful Capitol Commons with lots of Western Restaurants, Boutiques, Furnitures, beautiful greeneries and Ortigas is also near the Eastwood City and the Bridgetown, and you can go to Araneta Center in Cubao or Ayala Trinoma and the super huge SM North EDSA via the MRT which has access inside the huge Shang-rila Mall and Hotel near the MRT beside the one of the biggest Mall in the world, the SM Megamall also beside the luxury Podium Mall in St. Francis Square. Everything is here in this CBD. Be practical. The Powerplant condo buildings have just a very small area, and, my God, overpriced!!! The greedy ownerrs of that condos near the powerplant mall does not realize Philippinea is a 3rd World Country and he overpriced the condos? My God! Ortigas actually is my Top1 CBD since 1990s.

Mind you all of those units are fully furnished. This means when you move, you don't have to buy furnitures and other things. Just bring your clothes and you can move in. So think about that when you're thinking about prices. You can get same size unit around the area for 1k for sure, but it's bare.

@tuan2u Exactly. It's all about location. What makes these people think they can charge NYC prices in the Philippines 🤣🤣🤣🤣

@@enzo_m_niac that's not NYC prices. $2k in Manhattan is a utility closet, unfurnished, old and run down. A place, like in the video, will run you $10k in Manhattan.
