Was that a rude word at 1:50? Haha This looks awesome - I rarely use black for an interior but the red accent parts really look nice.

Great job! What dilution do you recommend for tamiya lacquers and what thinner? I use a H&S Evolution with 0.4mm
@TheScalemodelingChannel3 жыл бұрын
tamiya laquer thinner, couple drops. I just go by feel, mix in some thinners and test if it is thin enough. It doesnt need to much. on the entire bottle probably 3ml thinners roughly.

Hey, stupid question but I've never noticed: when you paint with a brush do you paint straight from the pot or thin your paints?
@TheScalemodelingChannel3 жыл бұрын
Straight from the pot. Very rarely do i add thinner
@jaanikaapa69253 жыл бұрын
@@TheScalemodelingChannel That might actually cause stripiness with the acrylics (your gunmetal problem). When you next time use acrylics try with just adding a little water and doing a couple of thin coats?
@TheScalemodelingChannel3 жыл бұрын
@@jaanikaapa6925 for metallic paints that would probably still cause problem. I was more so thinking in general that airbrushing would be the nicer option
@jaanikaapa69253 жыл бұрын
@@TheScalemodelingChannel The metallics are all about the flake size, but in hindsight I do agree with you. Anyways, you'll usually get the best surface with the airbrush. :)

@@TheScalemodelingChannel yea its a little high, you should contact them about sponsorship. Im building one as we speak powered by a vivosun 4 inch inline duct and made with MDF and some LED lighting. Pasche and Graphic Air, also makes a premade one. Im in your boat, I dont have 600 bucks for that either. But I refuse to buy one of those cheap booths as they just can't ventilate properly. I see all you youtubers that use them and the just can't handle it.
