Greetings everyone! I forgot to add that Erik Ten Hag's record against Klopp (AKA the best manager in the universe and beyond!) reads (1 Defeat| 2 Draws| 2 Wins). Not bad for a "clueless" manager. Thank you for stopping by and I hope you guys enjoy the video. Cheers!

Just like in the game against Chelsea, Man Utd was leading and Erik Ten Hag decided to replace Garnacho. Then the opponent manager realized that there would be no real risks of counter-attacks anymore from Man Utd and decided to increase the offensive line and the pressure. Naturally, the equalized came soon after Garnacho left the pitch in both matches. Man Utd needs urgently a replacement for Dalot during the matches, specially late in the second half when he shows to be unable to follow fast wingers of opponent teams.

Great analysis, in my view Kobbie was not marking Diaz, he was in charge of the edge of the box. A ball to Salah or something. It was pure lack of leaders in the defence to assign roles. At some point, he was asking Maguire who should I mark during the second half. Check it out
@camovault7 ай бұрын
This game is another proof that our defensive line is holding up quite well despite too many injuries and the real problem is with our midfielders. Rashford and Garnacho are more like striker winger and offer less than ideal service for Hojlund. Rashford form has been terrible this season and clearly outshined by Garnacho. The only press resistance midfielder is Mainoo and Casemiro is nowhere near his form last season. And despite scoring that stunner, Bruno looks very tired and bored with those sloppy passing that gave away our build up process.

Some of the Dutch MU fans have been saying that ETH's first season at Ajax was bumpy as it took players a season to get to grips with what he wanted. Perhaps you are showing that it is something similar here. Maybe he is not a fraud, a buffoon who is out of his depth etc. Maybe there are moments in games where the players get the implementation right and moments they don't. All in context of never having the defenders that he'd pick first or even second. I am really interested in trying to understand how the consistently high XG and shots on goal is resulting in a very much narrower shots on target. Liverpool had 7 v 5 on target but about 45 billion more shots. There has to be something in this. It can't be coincidence or luck because this big shots on goal and XG diff is week in and week out, as is the narrow shots on target. Thanks for the content - always interesting, even though I am a rugby man, not a football man. But I am a MU man and have been since 1977. If only your game had scrum and ruck and maul and lineout and human carnage.

This is our main issue this season, backline is sitting too deep while the front players over commit and doesn't press smartly leaving a huge whole in the middle. It's crazy how teams can easily bypass our defense with 2-3 passes.
@thaboseane5027 ай бұрын
Backline is sitting deep because they are slow defenders. If we have Martinez and Varane we could defend further up.
@sonofzeus55517 ай бұрын
@thaboseane502 that's a lie,I don't think it's a matter of having fast defenders,I think it's an issue of the mentality,these players are too chicken shit to take that bit of risk,step it up a level and actually play like a fucking big team and guess what?? Their boss keeps it that way by playing defensive toward the end of matches he's supposed to get his players to attack..so everyone is just scared and losing their shit in that team and only God knows when that will stop

My friend, quite interesting analysis. * I do agree after seeing the replay that that was NEVER a penalty. Many questionable decisions by the Referees and VAR against United this season. It's well documented. The Romero handball that wasn't given to United but when he committed the same foul with exactly same scenario, it's given as a penalty for Arsenal. A couple other decisions have shown that there's a bias against United. * Seems like a section of the Press want to see Ten Hag sacked. I rarely see the Press criticize Pochetino despite the poor season he and his team has had so far. * Scholes had a high temperament and expressed it in his rash tackles. Kobbie Mainoo will learn from his mistakes. I remember the mistake he made by misplacing a pass causing Kudus of West Ham to score their second goal thereby killing the game off. I was disappointed not by the mistake but by the fact that no senior player went to him to encourage him. It was only another young player Kambwala who encouraged him. Says a lot about the team! Mainoo however scored a brilliant goal against arguably one of the best teams in the Premier League. * Casemiro MUST be replaced in the summer. He's the main reason United keeps having numerous shots at their goalpost. He CANNOT cover the spaces in midfield because he doesn't have the legs again! United needs a new combative, mobile, young, tenacious, tackling and ball playing defensive midfielder VERY URGENTLY. * Despite the unfavorable results, I think Ten Hag deserves a chance to continue as United's Manager especially when the recruitment structure is about to get much better. The injuries this season has been insanely high and ridiculous....yet he's had to manage the situation. If he gets the right people behind the scenes backing him in the recruitment process, I strongly believe he will deliver positive results. Well-done brother.👍🏾

I feel for Amad, he played so well and scored a goal against Liverpool then not picked again. It is a typical TH picking on his favourite player like Rashford. He is treating him like how he treated Pellistre. Give Amad the chance or he will leave. He is a good player to be wasted on the bench.

People need to remember that ETH have his backing to De Gea right after the FA cup final, last season, only to replace a few weeks later. ETH insistence to "turn a blind eye" to the team's inability to play the style he is trying to implement (it is the players and not the style btw), is to expose those who will not be able to transition. This is why the fan base needs to stand vehemently behind ETH.

@chriswood7537 ай бұрын
The midfield is where United are weak, especially off the ball. Like you said Casemiro is too slow and he isn't the best technically. Bruno is just too chaotic everything seems rushed. I think Bruno would be far better behind 2 strikers in a 4-3-1-2. United need be buying 2 midfielders to play with Mainoo. Casemiro and Rashford are both playing poor yet still get picked to start the next game !!!! Where is the incentive to play well ? Players should be in fear of losing their place if they don't play well or give 100% effort they lose their place in the starting 11. I know United are short of options but surely ETH should be picking Amrabat instead of Casemiro and Amad over Rashford or any player what doesn't perform well. But ETH seems to be just picking who he thinks is the best player, form doesn't seem to matter which is not good it spreads complacency.

He shouldn't have to fix these problems in the first place. The spaces are always huge. The gap between the back and front is always massive. Never having options in front to build with and expecting to do anything of note with 2 passes and a hoof up the top to players under pressure that cannot hold the ball up is bonkers. The players like Rashford and his poor attitude, and some of them just not being good enough doesn't help, but we see the same thing every week tactically. Make it easier for the players with basic tactics of space through movement and stay compact and hard to beat. 30 shots a game is a tactical issue as much as the players.

The real issue is about our players actually growing some balls,they are so inferior in their perception of the game..attacking,defending,pressing,positioning,counter attacking,all the aspect of modern football the players seem to lack something in their execution,which begs of the question of whether it's coaching problems or we're just unfortunate to have so many mediocre players in the team that shouldn't even be scouted by a club like united..but one coaching problem i can say for a fact that ETH has not addressed which further makes me question his competence in the long run is the wide play addiction..it's like the players cannot for the life of them think of any bit of creativity when they're attacking or counter attacking other than getting the ball very quickly to the wide men which is very predictable in many cases and also reduces creativity in other areas limiting our goal scoring opportunities..i can't count the number of times during a counter a player or players even in the midfield area would be the better option and the ball would still be played to a winger,its very frustrating..
