Oh yay- you’re reviewing Her Elixir. I own and love it. I do not like the original and my favorite is the intense but I gave it as a gift to my sister before it was discontinued so it will forever belong to my sister. I am so happy with this new flanker. So funny how scents work differently on people. On my skin I get no strawberry. Strong blackberry (similar to seven virtues blackberry lily), with creamy warm amber and sandalwood. It makes me so happy every time I wear it. Thanks for the video ✨

Thanks for this review, I'd written off Burberry Her flankers because the original EDP gives me a headache (London Dream does not). I think we have similar preferences, so I'll give Intense and Elixir a try! Heck, I might even try the EDT now. I don't need anyone to smell me from the other room, so that's cool with me. I feel like the Elixir versions are usually comparable to the Parfum/Extrait so that's about what I'd expect.

Something about the DNA comes across as highly synthetic to me. I have the Intense version as I preferred it over the original but when I wore it once someone told me it was nice but joked that it reminded them they needed to do laundry. So I guess it gave off a dryer sheet vibe to them. Not a bad thing as it's a clean smell, but still...lol I get even more of that synthetic profile in the elixir, as it's stronger. Synthetic strawberry. It's likely just the note combination that makes the profile smell that way to me. I prefer the actual BR40, dupes and even Cloud more. I think it's the strawberry note that does it for me and normally I don't mind strawberry.

I have all 3 and I love them all. Elixir is my favourite, followed by intense and then the original. I sometimes layer the original with vanilla or Ariana Grande Cloud

Do you think it‘s a safe blind buy? I don‘t really like the scent of too strong artificial vanilla but I‘d love the idea of smelling like strawberry milk. I‘m just worried it might be too strong and sweet to the point I‘d get a headache.

@@annispanda difficult to say as I don’t know how sensitive you are to smells. If you like strawberry milk best go for the original. I don’t find any of them headache inducing and I am a migraine sufferer. The smells I find nauseating are anything with oud, spices and any Arabic smelling perfumes

This is helpful that you talk about the throw of the scent and that some last until the next day - my husband is extremely sensitive (allergic) to many fragrances, for example YSL Libra tickled the back of his throat, and it gave me a headache and I couldn’t wash it off - I prefer something that you can’t smell unless you’re close or I walk past- I love sweet but not sickening sweet fragrances- more fresh sweet - would you say the Elixir is like that?

I don't get any of the notes you do. All I smell is liquid powdered sugar and something extremely synthetic that is similar to a dollar store fantasy spray. I was so excited and just feel let down by Burberry

The Elixir is more creamy and powdery. And the Intense version is the most creamy version, but it’s sweeter and heavier than the original.

I love the og is so airy and does not smell cheap at all the intense was way too medicinal smelled like cherry cough syrup… curious about elixir but if it’s similar to intense I know I won’t like … I always get compliments on og when I wear it my boyfriend said the intense smelled so bad to him lol

Video Idea: Why buy niche fragrances? Are they worth it in terms of longevity and sillage? I understand you get paid by brands, so irritating them is not advantageous for you. But you ask people to subscribe, so in turn honesty to your viewers as an influencer is warranted as well. 💞💞. Interested on your opinion.

Yep, I'd be happy to do that! This topic was also touched on by @gretabeth and Gabby loves perfumes @rbdvivi1. While it is true that we as influencers are contacted by many niche brands to share their fragrances, I think I speak for more than just myself when I say that only few (the ones we truly love) actually make it on to the channel regardless of whether there is an affiliate program or not. Many niche fragrances offer a huge advantage over designer scents not only in terms of unique scent profiles but the quality of ingredients used, and oftentimes the price point is equal to if not less that certain designer scents. I would be happy to dive into detail in an upcoming video, thank you for the idea 😊
