If they timed the bot and mid inhib respawn correctly, their nexus will be invulnerable even if the winions got in. They're correct with the bot inhib but not on the exact time difference with mid inhib, which is 25 seconds away.

He asked, because someone in their team is timing everything. It's a huge miscalculation if they thought that if both bot and mid inhib respawn their nexus is safe since the difference of bot and mid inhib respawning is 25 seconds. In another scenario, they might judged that the bot inhib respawn will take minion agro instead of them marching to their nexus. If that were to happen, minions will destroy the inhib, face another wave before reaching the nexus, which will win them the game even if everything played out as it is.

its all miscalculation and truly their own mistakes. They should ignore Busio, they have Lilia + grub + tris, yet they took 2-3s only to kill Leona (heck APA even said to ignore busio and go straight for turret). Just tank the turret with Ksante & rell, what leona can do? you still had Grub minion as aggro ofc it safer to ask someone to back, but Bwipo is ready with his TP, so both of them have to make a decision (even Fly thinks they going to lose, but Bwipo said he can end with TP if Busio can buy his a little time)

Lol APA called that someone should answer bot, APA then called that going for nexus meant ignoring Busio, and his team ignored him both times. He was a good teammate and followed the team, but listening to him instead of ignoring his calls would have at least meant avoiding such an embarrassing loss

They couldn't ignore Busio. The turrets had back door protection, and they needed the minions in range to break it. You can see that in a replay when them hitting the turrets was barely moving the health bar until the minions got close enough, then they started to chunk them down. The call for someone to back was good, the call to ignore Busio was bad.

I can't say I will miss it because realistically I stopped watching lcs 5 years ago but I am sad it has ended. Despite being from the EU when getting into league from around season 3 I would only ever watch lcs. The casters the hosts the players the games I just loved everything about lcs so much more than any other region. I don't really know what happened but at some point lcs lost its magic. Feels weird that I can't even think why now but regions that could easily be seen as "boring" started feeling much more enjoyable to watch. LEC and LCK were so much better to watch and listen to than lcs. Even with the super low budget minimum set up that LCK had for the english hosts it still felt like better quality than lcs in the later years. I really don't know what happened to lcs to lose the magic but I know I am far from the only one who felt that way as I remember it being something that was pulling 100-150k viewers every week even in normal split games to barely getting 10k and for finals before this last one would peak at 20-50k (and no it wasn't just because of co streams that is a cop out fake answer and you know it)

Tbf, they were racing against Garen’s timer. By looking at how close it was, they probably could afford the support to recall and hold the bot wave (and APA even made the call), but if they didn’t finish the game there, they would be out of their turn, inside the enemy base, with their nexus open, that’s a really tough spot. They weren’t 100% sure of the timing, but they already committed to end the nexus, so the decision to not defend base and focus everything on the nexus to win the race makes sense (although the decision was wrong). Also, take in consideration the pressure of that match, they couldn’t afford to lose, and that was the window of opportunity to win, if they didn’t have enough damage to win the race against Garen respawn, and only the support was there to hold him, they could’ve lost. It is easy to analyze after the result, but a split second decision, where the correct call depends on an estimate of damage output that could go either way isn’t.

@@laersonverissimo1715 Garen is a non-factor in this. They miscalculated and made a bad decision, plain and simple. The decision to not to go back is because their inhibitors are respawning in a few seconds, and it's either let the minions take down the bot inhib, face a wave before hitting the nexus (which didn't happen) or let the minions in until mid inhib respawn which is basically making the nexus untargettable. What they're wrong with is there's a gap of 25 seconds between bot and mid which basically when the minions ended the game. It's simpler to think that they could've sent someone and lured the minion away but at times like that they could've got tunnel-visioned and think it's better to have all 5 players to somehow tank some damage from turrets or even from the next respawning enemy champion. The second glaring mistake is allowing Leona to get near their minion wave, which allows her to get aggro'd and lure them away from the turrets for 6 seconds. APA could've Buster Shot her away from the wave after the mid inhib falls but he didn't.
