Whether you play tactical shooters, MOBAs or even MMOs, each and every player who has ever touched an online game has complained about their ping at one point or another.
In certain titles having a consistent, low ping is absolutely crucial.
In this episode you'll figure out just how important ping ACTUALLY is. Is having high ping really as bad as that guy who just whiffed their shot makes it out to be, and is having really high ping actually kind of a good thing?

yeah, that and the people who are lucky to live near a server get like 8 ping, it makes it so that you have to change the way you play depending on the ping diff. 8 ping vs 45 - 70 ping is legit impossible to lose.

For 5 years my average ping on CSGO was 110. You adjust to it, but once you start playing on low ping it’s difficult to go back. Also sometimes think it’s just an excuse for people to be shit at something.

I remember a long time ago, maybe around 2014-2015 I played CS:GO with around 100 ping, 1000hours and my highest rank back then was GNM. Now I started again about a year ago, with a whole new setup and internet connection. At this moment I have 820 hours and I play pretty much every game with 5 ping, and I'm currently LEM in MM and Faceit lvl 8. So there's your answer, yes it matters

Well you can’t setup real lan servers on Valorant unless you’re Riot games, so it’s possible that your friend got unlucky and the internet connection when you guys were playing was bad for him.

@@trippinballsinumoms That's not a LAN though.. What people refer to as "LAN" is basically a server where YOU are the host and the players are directly connected into the same network locally. This is only possible with old games like Minecraft or CS 1.6 where you're playing off the local network and no internet is needed. What you did is NOT a LAN server. You're just playing an online custom map using Ethernet through the same connection, but you're still connected to RIOT's server, not your own. Unless you're RIOT there's no way to make a Valorant LAN server. Your friend was probably still capping though because you guys should have the exact same ping unless there's something wrong with his PC.

NA are spoiled brats they have soo many servers that they require(in many games) while in Some continents they don't even have one(africa and south america). In eu when playing tf2 it really depends on what part of eu you are on and the most balanced eu server ping vice is luxembourg. For me if i play tf2 i mainky get into stockholm and luxembourg casual servers
