We’ve moved at least 18 times in our 60 years of marriage. I learned to pack everything except toilet paper and coffee maker . The week before our move we used all paper plates plastic forks spoons etc. I took the coffee pot with me in the car the last item unplugged and the first to plug in. I realize your move is not quite as easy or as simple. You will have an amazing sense of accomplishment and satisfaction once you’re done.
@terriford563411 сағат бұрын
Funny how that works. The more you move, the less there is of it. Priorities sharpen. Decisions are clearly made. You know exactly what to take, how to sort, and what will fit where. I am a teacher in a job that is always changing. I have moved next door half a dozen times. I can do it in a few wagons and under an hour in a pinch. Blessings to you on gaining that experience. I know you are every bit as happy as those who never moved but a box to an attic or below.

In the southern states, there is a saying that is often sarcastic that goes "Bless your heart." But in this case, truly Bless your hearts. I can not imagine how mentally you managed there for as long as you did. It does not matter why you needed to leave. The God Lord said pack your bags and go. Don't look back. Don't spare a thought. It's time to go, go, go! And, Bless Your Hearts. For sure and for certain, you are meant for so much better and more. I will pray for your safety, wisdom, health and the luck to be yours as you finish the next stages. Only 1 more Dec there, only 1. You can do anything only 1 more time. Bless your hearts.

In North America it’s called a hutch and buffet.. hutch is on top of the buffet. A hutch buffet set holds linens , silverware , fancy dinnerware glasses, for dining. 😊a dresser holds lingerie clothes etc. 🇨🇦

Truth, but I lived in England and had to have a British dining room. Couch and large Welsh Dresser with long table. Love Welsh Dressers even in a Texas home.
@kirsteneasdale570710 сағат бұрын
In Scotland we have what we call ‘sideboards’ in dining areas. They have the same function as the American ‘hutch’ but they will be lower so that the top can be used as a serving area or to display crockery/silverware/vases… We also have something we call a ‘dresser’ which is used for a similar purpose as a ‘hutch’. Usually with cupboards below, a couple of drawers above them and 2 or 3 shelves stacked on top for displaying your best dishes.

Hi Katie and Scott I've watched your episodes from the very start and I have to say I've seen a really big difference in both of you which is so sad, I think you both have every reason to be "cranky" when you are continually battling one thing or another and such negativity from the Landlord did not make any of it easy. I hope you do get off the island sooner rather than later and when you do close that door for the last time and you are in your safe place you both sit with a glass of what cheers you, breathe deeply, relax and let whatever emotion take over that comes, cry, laugh and know that life can only and will now get better.

You need a couple pieces of inflatable furniture so you can get every last bit loaded up and still have a place to sit and sleep. Last day on the island deflate and stick in a big tote bag. There are some furniture repair KZbinrs in the UK. Maybe offer up your damaged chair as a challenge project to one of them. You might be surprised what can be done by a talented, motivated man with a charming feline quality control expert (FlippingDrawers)...

I feel for you. I've been through this house moving carry on myself. It definitely was not my favourite job to do. I think the worst move was on my wedding day. The man who was booked had to change days because of some emergency that he had. So I was married at eleven in the morning and then had to come straight back home to pack the house up. Me and the wife then had to do a 250-mile trip to the new house and never finished unloading the van until around midnight. All I can say for sure is never again, it's too stressful. I hope your new home is secure for you and will have many a happy year spent in it...😃👍🏻👍🏻
