Try punching that square scallop punch with very fine sand paper then aluminum foil, that may help it work better.

Great embellishments! I love making my own too. You might try punching some regular aluminum foil with your square scallop punch. I've tried it with a couple of mine and it did seem to help. Thanks so much for sharing your talents!
