I would also add Dior’s Hypnotic Poison in here , in my opinion it started the “playdoh” vanilla DNA

No perfume ever has ever blown my mind the way Delina did when I first smelled it. Rose was an "old lady" scent and just never seemed to be done right...until PDM released Delina. I will forever purchase it ❤ thanks for acknowledging it.

strangely enough i think glossier the brand really has the most impact on culture, making natural trendy, and starting the onset of less filler/overlined lip plumping things/harsh contours etc.and in lieu, it was finally okay to be kind of yourself; a little less body dysmorphia for the regular woman! although it's transformed into the 'clean girl' aesthetic which has it's own issues, i have such an appreciation for glossier the brand as a whole - "it okay to just be and exist, nothing more" love it!

I (49f) adore wearing Ganymeade. It takes me on an olfactory journey every time I wear it! It is exquisite. I find it so annoying when people turn their noses up at scents once they get to well known. It doesn’t subtract from what they are. I like to take a break and revisit it, later.

This is such a wonderful idea for a video. Watching you talk about each of these all leads to the question of “why do fragrances change so often from the first release batches?” Like obviously most fragrances from this list are still wonderful the way they are today but even before me watching this video I’ve personally noticed that fragrances change from batch to batch / over the years due to reformulations. I guess it’s not something I’m mad at lol, just a very sincere question towards the industry 🤔 Wonderful video Demi!!!

I love this video, so informative!❤ Personally I feel like bianco latte set a trend for vanilla tonka bean heavy fragrances. It’s not ground breaking at all, but for how straight forward and strong it is, people started to pay attention to it, fell for it and then a lot of vanilla fragrances came out.

I would also say Terre from Hermes was a first and created the space for mineral earthy scents. Definitely Guidance from Amouage as it’s the first of its kind with traditionally sweet seductive profile but that animalic cumin. Then I think Tom Ford Tobacco Vanille is the forefather of the assertive masculine gourmand you see now recreated by niche and designer houses alike. But I must say glossier you, another 13, JHAG Not a Perfume and all those skin scents have been put in the map by a little known commercially scent from Hermes again that’s Eau Des Merveilles that’s an ambergis-amber accord minimalist and transparent that’s meant to amplify your natural muscs and be the fragrance equivalent of a magnifying glass (hence the bottle shape) ! More people should know about its cause it’s such good value for money too!

I get your point with Lost Cherry. But it’s worth mentioning that TF was not precursor : back 20 years before Lost Cherry in 1998 Lutens & Christopher Sheldrake created Rahat Loukoum still available till this day. What makes a huge difference is the power of marketing where TF is very good. Remembering that gourmands wasn’t that a trend 20years prior, Rahat Loukoum is kinda the grandpa of Lost Cherry.

You shouldn't buy anything because someone on KZbin tells you to. Many of these reviewers receive free bottles in order to hype a fragrance up. They're not giving honest reviews, hence why they tell you everything's fantastic and you need to buy it.

Now, Ganymede is SUPPOSED to smell "extraterrestrial", or "from another planet" - or more precisely, a moon of another planet. And in that sense, I respect its artistry. Its mineralic and ozonic, which aligns with how I imagine the Jovian moon Ganymede would smell. But I don't like it as a wearable scent either. Its too weird and irritating.

@@demirawling Great 👍 , it's true all these are modern. I would love to see if it's possible a video with the opinion of your Husband because I have almost the same taste. Also are u planning of creating a fresh everyday all day perfume ? Because in my Country Greece is 8 months Hot weather so these perfumes work better.
