Heck, I still have my Schluter Champion .60 and the first Futaba heli specific radio. Miniature Aircraft Supply in Orlando had just gotten the Champion in. I walked in prepared to buy a Superior and Mr Schoonard asked the guy behind the counter to bring out the new kit. Walt sold me the Champion for the same price as the $200 cheaper Superior. This was around 1985.
@NightFlyyer2 ай бұрын
Right on. Yes those were good for sure. Walt would be flabbergasted if he looked on Ebay to see how much those are selling for now, LOL. I just produced a video of my Kyosho SR with lights, using a mechanical gyro, and the Futaba Helicopter radio you mentioned. Here's a link and thanks so kindly. Now go fly that Champion!! kzbin.info/www/bejne/aJjZgJ2aiLSKl68

Enjoying the trip down memory lane as you fly all of these. I went looking for your landing skid video but i could not find it. I remember you use crack filling foam for the smaller ones but I can't remember what you used to paint them that did not melt the foam. Scrolling through your video list looking made me realize just how long i have been watching your videos. 😀 Thank you for all the work you and your wife put in to make excellent content.

Well, I use Pool noodles mostly and on my smaller ones, I use foam paint rollers, which can easily be painted. I appreciate you and your long time viewership. Thanks kindly.

Was curious about the esky helicopter, so i Googled it, and one of the first things i found was your video 14 years ago with your first flight with it😂😊! Thought that was pretty cool! Awesome to see you still flying them!

I miss my Helimax Axe cp, bone stock it was the sweetest flying heli I have ever flown. I could actually fly it, something I could never do with my t-rex 450 lol. When I was a teenager my dad "upgraded" my Axe with an aftermarket gyro and it never flew right again until it was too far gone to fix. I would love to get my hands on another Axe cp, I don't remember which version of it I had but the one in Real Flight flies very close to it.

@NightFlyyer yeah I found the perfect one a few months ago and missed out on it. I've been keeping an eye out for a complete rtf 2.4 version since it would be the easiest for me to get back in the air.

Well, I had 2 right. I guessed TRex 500, Blade 400, Esky 900.I really liked X Heli. Started with the Esky coaxial then the honeybees, went to the Blade 400 $269 ready to fly with the Spectrum DX6i radio. It blew up from there. Now have over 30 helicopters hanging around. When X Heli was clearing out, I bought a lot of Esky parts. A whole wall of them.

Right on. Glad your into helis, like me. I would have had a lot more, today, but lost about 22 of them in the fire. Now have so many older ones too, and why I am trying to fly them all at least one more time in my life. Thanks so kindly. I appreciate you.

They all still fly's great on the orange one didn't you do a little fishing with it? I have question I have an Esky Honeybee cp3 what size blades you recommend for it?
@NightFlyyer2 ай бұрын
My first heli fishing video was with a Blue Ray, but I did do others with this 900. Love that one, cause the blades sound so good too. The blades on my CP are 10" long by 1.2 " wide, if that helps. Thanks so kindly.

Something's wrong! Where's that authentic "chop-brrrrt" sound coming from, with those 450's?! 😡I have an Align 450 and I don't get that! 👍

Perfectly aligned, non stock, fiberglass, perfectly balanced, and perfectly tracking makes that sound. Thanks. 🙏 Tips breaking the sound barrier always sounds cool.

@@NightFlyyer Bitter-sweet watching you. When I was 18, I had a Schluter Champion I built, $500 engine, $80 muffler, then it sat when I couldn't afford radio. I was too immature to fly such a beast even if I got it all set up.
