Its important to note that Pokemon like Magnezone, Vikavolt, and Probobass can only evolve when leveled up in areas with a strong electro-magnetic field. My guess is that Thunder Stones also emit electromagnetic waves, hence why they can evolve those Pokemon.

Fun fact: in Fire Red and Leaf Green a book recording all the process towards creating Mewtwo can be found, telling date and place and explanation. In one of those, an experiment is told to be in "Guyana, South America". This implies that the country of Guyana 🇬🇾 and continent of South America are canon in the pokémon world. And yet it has been decades and there has never been a game set in South America or Guyana yet.

It's in the same level of canon as "Indian elephant" and "lightning american". Whenever they get around to making a region based on Guyana, they'll change " Guyana, south america" to "(region name) in future remakes, similar to how " Indian elephant" became "copperajah" and "lightning american" became "lightning unovan"

Another wrinkle is the mossy rock, ice rock, and the electromagnetic fields, which allowed eevee, magneton, and nosepass to evolve when nearby. These evolution methods were later changed to a leaf stone for leafeon, ice stone for glaceon, and thunderstone for magnezone and probopass, which implies that those stones hold the same radiation properties as those rocks and fields. Which probably explains how they can be bought and sold as a commercial good - they were mined from places like eternal forest, snowwy routes, and magnetically charged areas like mt coronet or charge stone cave.

For these pokemon I'd have liked to see some connections made from gamefreak. maybe an ultra-precious version of these stones. Only ultra rare thunderstones mined from Poni Canyon can evolve Chargibug. Or conversely, a giant Firey rock in a volcano can evolve normal Growlithe to Hisui Arcanine

I personally believe in Pokémon sort of maturing with evolution, but it’s also curious that they can live their whole life and even breed without moving on to the final stage. Maybe evolution is a protective mechanism to unlock a higher level of power when the environment calls for it? 🤔

Maybe you could discuss shadow Pokémon? I've done my own research about it, and it's almost disturbing similarities to "R" in the detective Pikachu games/movie and the "Berserk gene" that Mewtwo apparently has, along with "Rakurium" in the Pokémon Horizons anime. Just a suggestion, as I don't think we have a real concrete answer to how shadow Pokémon came to be.

Legends Arceus flat out just shows that its the linking cable or cord that initiates the evolution in trades. It has nothing to do with bonds. Trade evos are just species affected by whatever energy is in those cables

if the fire stone comes to be through lets say ninetales or flareon dying, in theory you would be able to "remove" it somehow and de-evolve them when theyre alive, as the mega stones pattern proves ?!? we should assume that milotics and kingdras existed before humans. for trade pokemon to be fully evolved, the games just consider it as too rare and too hard to be real ingame, but we need to assume that happens. we can just assume it doesnt need a human to abandon a pokemon but maybe their own groups that dont like them could trigger it

@@therealdrogane yes i saw you basically put that as option, but then only brought human related examples. anyways - the reason why i think there were these fully eveloped pokemon even before humans is: it wouldnt make sense for any species to exist as incomplete beings in the first place. final evolutions would make sense to be much more common as most people and animals reach mature age. something must have messed with that that said, ofc gamefreak and the pokemon company will not have thought that far so in theory its pointless to talk about it, but i love making sense of stuff. your video on the stones is good work.

My theory on that is they didn't want Lugia to counter Ho-oh with water over fire and wanted pseudo Tyranitar to counter both so psychic being weak to dark and flying weak to rock makes their problem less obvious

@@WhisperNuggetz How to debunk your theory. Zapdos has a typing that destroys Articuno and Moltres. They could have chosen any other pokemon types from them, but they decided that Zapdos can have stab on both of them. Moltres is the only one who doesn't have a super effective move on both of them. Articuno learns bubble beam and water gun through TMs. Mewtwo was literally made to be superior to Mew.

@justinn8541akaDrPokemon the legendary birds are a trio like the legendary beast trio, not box arts, Mewtwo doesn't have a comparable option either because you can't catch Mew and pokemon crystal throws another wrench in the mix by being the odd ball suicune instead of celebi or something. You are trying to compare a duo to both a trio and a single, technically not even box art legendary None of the other generations match gen 2 because in gen 3 there are 3 box arts, then 4 and 5 the pseudo and box arts are all dragons, 6 is another trio with X, Y, Z, but the Z and gen 7 legends can "evolve", more form changes in gen 8 and 9 so where is an actual comparison?
