I use to use a paint brush to "tickle" them gently and get them to move. One day I couldn't find a paint brush to save my life, so I used a long feather, and haven't looked back. For some reason I get a better response using the feather. Less aggressive posturing, less strikes. Less bolting from most. Love your channel and your passion for critters and spiders.

So, Tarantula Kat! We need to talk! I have HATED spiders and tarantulas all my life. My son keeps asking me if he can get a Tarantula. And because I love him, I decided to quell my fear and HATRED by watching them on KZbin. I found your videos and now, I don't freak out if there is a spider running by. And I have binged on your channel, like really binge. I'm not yet ready to have a Tarantula in my house, my fear is dissipating. Thank you for putting up all these amazing videos. How can I get over my fear of attempting to hold one? I get the zillies when I think about it. I don't know what to do or how to go about it, I can't fathom letting one crawl on me, I still can't walk by them in the pet store. Tv is so very different. Thank you in advance. Cheers from 🇨🇦

Me, watching that 1 second opening scene: Is that a P.cambridgei? Because this definitely looks like something a P.cambridgei would do. Speaking from experience - P.cambridgei is the only one of my Ts so far that managed to escape during a rehouse. I tried to get her on a piece of corkbark to get a better look because I suspected a bad molt. She jumped and bolted. Then bolted again and went under a backpack I had on the floor. I removed everything around the backpack before picking it up and... She wasn't there anymore... She just vanished! Luckily I found her the next day but man that was a nervous evening for my family. Edit: And it wasn't P.cambridgei!
