I’ve always found it fascinating that no matter how scary or unsightly you might find a creature, all it takes is watching one or two videos of someone who genuinely loves the creature in order to suddenly see them in a new light. I’m very scared of spiders, and while I don’t think I will ever be fully cured of my phobia, videos like these really do help me appreciate them a lot more!! But I think I’ll stick to admiring them from a distance 😅

We had a nice conversation and then I took it outside. It was magical. Thank you 😊

I LOVE jumping spiders! I just have the little regular ones that I find outside now and then. They’re not really fuzzy and either kind of grayish or there’s bigger ones that are black with a couple white spots. If I see one in my house I usually leave them be so they can eat the bad bugs. One time I was outside spraying all these little black beetles that infest my apartment and I accidentally sprayed a jumping spider that I didn’t see and I literally and I mean literally started freaking out and trying get him out of the spray and watched him hoping he’d be ok. Instead he died a long slow death and I felt HORRIBLE! I was serious,y crying like full on crying over this little jumping spider I just killed. I’m sure my neighbors that I was some weird person watching me crouched over on my patio area poking at a dead spider crying.

Oh my goodness. So I worked at FedEx at the time this video was filmed, and I would often handle packages identical to the one they open. It gave me extreme anxiety to handle those boxes, because I was so scared of harming whatever creature was inside. Plus, FedEx (and the mailing/shipping process in general) is never kind to whatever you're sending/receiving, because it's time consuming, and we had quotas we had to hit, or else there was a threat of write-ups. Long story short!!! This unboxing really eases residual anxiety (of unintentionally harming a cute lil pet type friend) from that job. Getting to see how cozy they could get in the padding for the box was a major relief! Thank you Kat for making fun and super informative videos! I feel a lot more confident about getting an eight legged fuzzy baby someday!

New to your videos. I am also a spider lover. I have a cleaning business. While in client's homes I often come across many different kinds of spiders. Being I'm in Minnesota I can only transport them outside certain months of the year. Once it gets too cold I bring them all home with me and let them go in my house. They are beautiful. They don't hurt anybody or anything. And best of all, aside from the spiders, my home is bug free! Come spring I catch them and put them outside and the cycle starts all over again!

I grew to love the eyes, their front legs and their fuzzy hair!! I am amazed how they caught their prey! Now, I'm not afraid of them anymore! I accidentally touched a white spider this summer on my rose bushes, and it startled me, but I didn't freak out like I would have before! It looked like a ghost.....must like the little bugs that hang out on the rosebushes! I also like the trap door spider and crab spider! I learned how both catch their prey, and it's so interesting!
