I was told I’m gluten sensitive, just needed organic flour and grains. My husband works in a grain terminal and it all gets sprayed with chemicals except anything organic. They have to clean surfaces that organic grain touches and keep it separate. Organic matters when it comes to grains.

Spot on video. This is true, my skin looks much better in my 40s than it did since I quit ultra processed / junk foods years ago. Also enjoying other health benefits such as improved sleep, less stress and anxiety, more energy and focus to name a few. Ultra processed and junk foods are heavily loaded with ingredients that can create many health problems. Eating real food, taking good quality supplements and incorporating good habits have made a huge difference. You look fabulous, Tracy! Thank you 💜💐

Totally agree! Whenever I use a prepackaged “health” product, it almost always bothers my stomach because of something they sneak into it.

Love your content and cheerful personality, Tracy. Also replaced energy drinks and soda/pop with sparkling water and a bit of fresh lemon juice, adding electrolytes or a tiny bit of pink himalayan or celtic salt for energy and improved performance, it's healthier and cheaper 🍋💯

I am plant based. I’ve never eaten any of these fake meat products. As you say they are ultra processed, and if I wanted to eat meat I’d eat meat. I make everything from scratch, even my own tofu - my favourites are chickpea and red lentil tofu. I also make my own sourdough. If you buy bread from a bakery there are a lot who sell bread as being sourdough but it’s not really sourdough. They simply add dried sourdough starter flakes and commercial yeast. Real sourdough takes time. It takes 2 days to make a loaf ready to bake. lIf you want to learn more about ultra processed food I highly recommend reading Ultra Processed People by Chris Van Tulleken.

I agree with you. Don't get the "fake" meat thing or make food be something it is not, but only adding a lot of crap to it. If wanting meat, eat meat, if wanting greens, eat a lovely green dish. I wish I had the time making the efforts you do with doing yr own sourdough bread and such, though. But I do cook from scratch and eat clean. Never ever buy ready meals or fast food. I do eat meat, mostly because of easy protein. But I love red lentils, so that tofu you mentioned sounds lovely, must check for how to do that!

Thank you Tracy for this video. I share your point of view concerning food. Processed products are really harmful to health. It is important to buy foods that are as close to nature as possible, local and if possible organic. It is true, however, that their prices are considerable. Good evening

I have never eaten a green "meat" burger in my entire life. I mean why, I really dont get it. If you want a burger you eat meat. If you want greens, you eat a sallad, a bowl or simply a wooked green dish. It is so true, what we eat really shows on the skin. Totally stopped sugar for quite some time ago, and never had better clear skin. As soon as falling for some sugary things, once in a while, my skin gets tired, dry and just not it bests.

Great video! I wish I could send it to my girlfriend so badly. She actually started a fight with me last weekend when recommending a restaurant to me that only served pizza and I said "well, pizza's not food". By it's very definition, it isn't, because it isn't nutritious. (Italian pizza you know is very different than commercial American pizza). I've been reading my labels and watching out for hidden sugars, oils, etc., and for some reason this really upsets my friend even though I don't tell her to do the same. I just don't want to go places where unhealthy foods are the ONLY option. Yet somehow I'M the one who's in the wrong, when it's everyone else who isn't paying attention to what goes in their body. Do you struggle with this ever? It'd be great to see a video on how you deal with friends in social situations who don't think like you do but apparently are bothered by your choices lol.
@cheryln668522 күн бұрын
Pizza is "food", don't be ridiculous. Healthy eating is great but if you continue to be "that person" don't be surprised when you no longer have friends who want to hang out with you. Life is short, eat a freaking piece of pizza once in a while FFS.
@briarrose701622 күн бұрын
@@cheryln6685No, it really isn't. If after switching over to a healthy diet pizza now makes me feel sick immediately after and into the next day, regardless of the type, it's not food. And it certainly isn't nutritious. Just because your body eventually adapts to bad consumables does not mean it counts as food.

Oh wow so sunflower oil is bad? I bought a bottle of it the other day because my homemade cat food recipe called for it and my cat didn't like it so I'm stuck with it and I thought well at least it's good for you I know the rest of those oils weren't but I figured it was

I looked up the ingredients of Beyond Beef and it only has avocado oil. I eat these and don't see any bad ingredients except maybe the natural flavors? Please advise. I want to know what you have to say about this specific brand. It used to be way worse but they changed the oil type this year. I also noticed there is sunflower oil in Gem Bites. Thank you for this video! I enjoy your channel. : )

They did change the oils recently but it’s still considered highly processed. Also there’s been a lot of studies that say avocado oil sometimes actually isn’t 🫠🫠🫠 it’s a jungle out there!! All things in moderation 🙌
