Dear Teacher Luke, thank you for your video, I watched about 10's of yours, did 3 times Duolingo practice test, got 110-130, 105-120, and 110-130. At the time of the real test, I have a hard time to start the test (download the test for 10minutes, 15minutes, last time I waited until 30minutes, then after 2 days and 3 failed start, I changed my wifi to another provider which then started the test right away...tadaa). The real test was harder than the practice, especially the "describe the picture" test (which I only able to write 2 sentences, instead my plan 4) and "fill in the blank" test (which sometimes I don't know the answer). Surprisingly, after sometimes waiting in frustation, I got 120 total result (althou low in production), but since my US uni only need minimum DET 105, I been accepted to my uni. THANK YOU VERY MUCH FOR ALL OF YOUR EFFORT TO HELP US ALL 🙏🙏🙏

Hello, Teacher Luke. I was supposed to take the exam a week ago but I felt unconfident because I know nothing about the exam. @@moonrisepiano8571 get a notebook and write some of the main tips Luke gives for each part of the test. After this start doing the preparation test Duolingo does for free and practice there are also some videos on this channel that have answers. After you take these, write in the same notebook what you’ve noticed you have a harder time doing or what you got wrong and focus on it.

I wish I could comment on all the videos that I watched... all the videos were truly truly, undoubtedly helpful!!!! I had a week to prepare. I got 135, the mark was low because of my nerves ( I won't go onto detail🤢). 135 is great, the productive score was the low one at 110, and I understand why. Apart from my nerves, I do advise everyone to watch your videos and prepare or even sign up on your website. I also listened to audio books and educational podcasts and watched documentaries. The good news: You won’t be penalized more for entering an incorrect response rather than skipping the question. If your answer isn’t entirely correct, you will receive partial credit. For example, in Read and Complete, you will receive the same score for a blank or an incorrect response. For Listen and Type, you will be penalized more for missing a word than mistyping the word. In other words, it is always best to try to answer a question. Can you explain this? Mistake 4 at 9:09 and this guideline from Duolingo confused me.

Hi teacher Luke, just one curious question on how to better approach this type of writing question. Should describing the picture be more like of assuming things what could be happening or should it gear towards the more factual elements of the picture? Personally I tend towards assuming what could be happening for me to be able to create a more colorful story rather than basing it on factual data which make my answer more like of the labeling type, though in this case it makes me worried it might cost me some points if I stay with my natural style - that of which is to deduce, infer or assume based on my observation and what I see in the picture.... I really appreciate ur reply on this, hopefully soon. Thank you! 😃😃

hi teacher luke I have a very important question...I surfed the internet ,but i did'n find useful answer...1. for c-test i have heard that each blanks has a specific grade now my question is if i fill in the blanks incompletely ,i have score for right answers or not ? take for example ,one word has 5 letters and i guess three of this correctly they assign some score for my correct answers or not? 2. for listening if i write many of words that i heard they just reduce score for what i lost or they completely decrease my score?
