Here are some tips on A Level Physics that always score marks. These are true for every exam board including AQA A Level Physics, OCR A Level Physics A and B, CIE Physics 9702 syllabus, Edexcel, edexcel international A level etc.
Also they are applicable to similar courses such as AP Physics, IB Physics and similar.
Some of the tips cover electromagnetism in A Level Physics, Moments and Circular Motion.

When you said the only thing that could cause an induced emf is a change in magnetic flux linkage, does just cutting lines of magnetic flux (with no change of magnetic flux linkage) not also cause an induced emf?

excellent question so by "cutting through" lines of mangetic flux we are moving a conductor through magnetic flux and hence there is a changing magnetic flux linkage.

I got the electromagnetism work book yesterday, and finished going through it just now, and I just wanted to say thank you so much! I haven’t revised electromagnetism yet so this was amazing, it made me more aware about the understanding behind the topic because the questions nicely built on to each other. Though side note, for faradays law in my AQA formula booklet there is no negative sign for Faradays law ( Nф/t) and for magnetic flux it doesn’t mention cos0 but only states ф = BA. Is there a reason for the negative sign and that AQA only gave one part of magnetic flux equation? Otherwise, I’ll definitely look into other workbooks you’ve made though!

thank you so much for the comment! Fantastic to hear!! The negative sign is actually crucial as it's essentially Lenz's Law. The AQA booklet gives says it just gives you the magnitude of the flux which is more confusing in my opinion at least, so I prefer to express it in terms of Lenz's Law with the negative sign. I do think that all formula booklets across exam boards should be standardised as the physics is the same, but different exam boards give slightly different quantities.

I think the only way this can be objectively answered is by looking at the examiner's reports. They often mention what mistakes were most common and provide quite a lot of detail. I recommend that along with the past papers. Hope this helps!

so the mass of a neutron is higher than the mass of a proton which makes it possible. A neutron can turn into a proton whereas the reverse does not happen when the proton is isolated ( so far as we know). It can happen in the nucleus though. Hope this helps!

definitely okay for all exam boards, electromagnetism is covered by all exam boards in a very similar fashion, hence the booklet. I will do some exam board specific workbooks on certain topics only.
