@@winteraquamarine I see where you're coming from but I don't think Jazza was consciously grading each based on length or story, he just picked the ones he liked the most. He probably should have come up with a rubric or something to make it more fair but there are a lot of times even in academics when you won't be expressly told what you're being judged on and you have to learn to figure it out. In Jazza's case it's pretty easy to tell from his videos and animations that he prefers humor to detailed art.

When I was in middle school, we used to have assignments where we had to create PowerPoint presentations. One of 'em we had to do a slideshow that had various quotes. I remembered that I did some pretty snazzy presentations. They weren't animations, but I did work harder on my presentations than the other students, thus, makin' my presentations pretty snazzy.

Art is in the eye of the beholder i suppose. It did make jazz crack up and inspiring emotion is at a base level the definition of art i suppose. I also think jazz just tries hard to not have all his contest winners be insanely skilled artists with decades of experience. I think he wants to showcase newer artists who tried hard and did their personal best.
@jeffersonrodriguez8081
@jeffersonrodriguez8081 4 жыл бұрын
@@seeing8spots I totally get that, encouraging younger/newer artists is a great thing but what if one of those people created their powerpoint on a old run down computer because they are financial unstable and this was their only hope of being able to use technology meant for art and truly grow in every way possible? I think Jazza should just give shout-outs to the artists who are newer or younger. To be fair, more often than not it's the latter and they quiet honestly don't "need" it as much as truly talented struggling artists
