Glad to hear you're going to be doing Dunnes Stores soon Helen. They have stores all over north and south of Ireland. I wouldn't say they're quite the quality of M and S but are more reasonably priced. We have a big store close to where we live. On the subject of insomnia, a hissing tinnitus has contributed to bad sleeping for me all my adult life. However in 2009 I woke up during the night to the most horrendous loud noise almost like a foghorn that just wouldn't stop. Will try to be brief but the upshot was private consultant sent me for a brain scan for reassurance that it was 'just' another form of tinnitus. Anyway sleeping tablets didn't help and I had serious sleep deprivation. Luckily it was two years after I'd retired so no worry about work. Now, I'm not deeply religious but I do speak to whatever power is out there and miraculously it did help. Call it an answer to prayer or self hypnosis but I started to tell myself each night that I wanted to sleep and that I MUST sleep. Afer a short time it worked. Within five minutes of putting down my Kindle hubby says it's like throwing a switch and I'm gone! I might get five or even six hours but that's a big improvement on zero hours. Long may it continue to work. Look forward to seeing your Mum again. Glad she's feeling better. xx

What a lovely informative video. I am now hunting for some “Blastoestimulina” cream. Must admit I had to rewind and pause and took a photo of the tube as I would never remember the name. Glad to hear your mum is feeling better, it’s a worry when they get to her age takes much longer to bounce back. I normally stand my candles in hot water to melt them if they still smell nice I pore it into an old ice cube tray add a few drops of fragrance oil to help it along and use it as a wax melt. Hi Helen, the blue dress looks amazing on you. I buy those magnesium tablets from Amazon as you recommended them to me still have a little trouble with my IBS but it has greatly improved so thank you for that. I take antihistamine tablets every night at the advice of my doctor so I never get bitten now. The wild deodorant I started using when it first came out but it brought me out in a rash so gave it to my daughter and she found the same thing so I haven’t tried it again. So glad your mum is getting better.❤️❤️❤️

Loved this video showing us your favourite buys. The candle hack was amazing. With the wax that is over, what about breaking into small piece and use as melts in one of those, can't remember what they are called. But you put a tealight inside them and the wax melts on top. Just thought it would save throwing that surplus wax away. As for the assistant in that shop you would have thought on quiet times they would familiarise themselves with the products that are in store so they could help customers more. I just think half the time they are just not interested. They are just not like our generation who would give 100%

@@Helenmaryjo It will deter the little buggers from biting you in the first place. It doesn't smell , just like a body lotion. I've used it for over 20 years, and swear by it. Not on the face, but everywhere else, ears, back of neck etc. Its not infallable, but its not expensive. Best wishes to your lovely Mum.

I’m a great fan of your videos Helen. I have been using Erborian CC cream for quite a while, but have recently added their Skin Hero to my routine. It acts as a primer under the CC cream and the difference it makes in terms of smoothness is amazing. I really recommend it. Hi Helen. What a beautiful hyacinth blue dress - it’s definitely such a great colour on you! I sleep reasonably well but I take tablets in the evening which are diuretics so unfortunately, I have to go to the bathroom during the night. I do try keeping only one eye open so I don’t fully wake up !! I’ve never heard of or seen silver fish so I looked it up on Google! Here in Greece, we have a multitude of products for mozzies - spray to prevent them for biting and lotions for helping the itching. They do smell unpleasant but sadly, it becomes my summer perfume- better the pong than the bites ! What a great hack with the candle- a great tip. I really enjoyed today’s video sharing your favourites. So pleased to hear your mum is back on the mend and will look forward to seeing her again.💖🌸

Morning, another great video thank you. Just an idea - instead of throwing away any unused wax from your candles (part burnt taper or the unburned bit at the bottom of your jar) why don't you use as a fire starter if you have a wood burner / fire? I save all mine and give them to friend as she has a log burner. If the candle is scented you also get a nice smell too. x

Hi Helen. Living in Australia we get more insects compared to the UK. At one time we had silverfish by the dozen. Any how an older Australian lady told me to put soap in a mesh bag and put that under the furniture bed etc. Silverfish all gone. Love your channel. Cherish your family. You are very blessed🥰🇦🇺

I reuse the wax & melt it down. I have a good supply of all things for candle making. Put it into smaller containers with a little extra wax. Still smells lovely. We had a Dunns open in Northampton many years ago - maybe 30 yrs ago. Yes it is M & S - I never went in there.

Hi Helen, I totally agree with you regarding silver fish. My sister had them in her condo and while helping her move out I kept encountering them and was so creeped out. I was even dreaming about them. I figure if you see 1 you know there are a bunch more lurking around. We sprinkled Boric Acid powder in the bathroom, laundry room and kitchen and it seemed to slow them down.

Hi Helen Thanks for this vlog. I had some cream off my Gp for hard skin as I have an underactive thyroid gland and it’s brilliant for hard skin which I get for £0 It’s worth thinking of that anti sting cream. The deodorant I have used for well over a year. I have the shower gel and the soap and find them really good. All the best and will see you on the next one x

Hi Helen, I don’t often comment, but always enjoy your videos and reviews. Just wanted to mention that I, too have experienced indifferent to poor service in SpaceNK stores. I have assumed that it might be because I am of a similar age to you, but in contrast to when they first opened when the staff were knowledgeable and helpful now I feel I am interrupting their conversations and they expect you to know what you want and can’t be bothered to elucidate if you don’t. Given their premium products and price range, if I was one of their suppliers I would be concerned at how little they care.

Flexitol is the best for cracked heels ,it contains a high amount of urea the only thing for dealing with fissures in the heels

Just thinking about your comment about silverfish and insects in the house, alongside good customer service in stores… We went to Costa yesterday for a coffee and as we were waiting in the queue we noticed about half a dozen fruit flies flying about and landing on the cakes, cookies etc. The unit these were displayed in had glass on 3 sides but was open at the back, presumably for ease of access for the staff serving. We drew it to the attention of a member of staff who looked at the situation and just said ‘there’s not much we can do about it…’ 😮🤢 We left and went elsewhere!

My husband always always gets bitten by bugs, very often at night , ( I can’t sleep without the window being open), so he blames me 😂 I don’t get bitten. I’ve ordered the insect bite cream, so fingers crossed this works, and he stops complaining at me!

Its the Histamine that can cause your issues with IBS..its a type of allergy in the GUT like hayfever..have heard this on my travels that too much Histamine could cause gut issues so I take anti histamine tabs.... as I thought I had it but it was the IBS tablets causing mine.... Tea tree oil 100% is an antibiotic drops.. brilliant for mozzy bites.. will dry up and removes the poison swelling. Love your dress colour..
