The best design for a pick-up tool i have seen was a Snap-on witch is no longer available it was a electromagnet you push a button on the end to energies it i bought one about 30 years ago and it still works if you came out with one and made it a little stronger i would definitely buy some as to my knowledge nobody makes a electronic one now

Hey fellas, I watched a video (possible a tool box tour) last week and the box owner had two VIM broken tools. The lock on the swivel head on both was broken and it just flopped side to side. If I remember correctly it was the long 1/4 bit, socket head, low profile I think. Not dogging the tools, stuff breaks. But he had to go with another brand and mentioned it. Have y'all seen any issues with the lock? Thanks for the review and video. I always look forward to Tuesdays.

I don’t have access to a tool truck. Does your warranty apply if I buy items on Amazon or JBTools? Or should I buy directly from your website?

JBTool, yes. JB Tools also sells on Amazon, so pay attention if it says sold by JB Tools. You would go to JB for warranty, then to Vim if needed.

Hey I just wanted to tell you guys I got hurt on my job yesterday and I really believe that if I had y’all’s 1/2 or the 3/4 wrench extender I would have not got hurt and as soon as I can it’s first up on my tool list Story I work at a chemical plant and I had to remove a pump I had to wear full chem ppe and fresh air i had 6 1-1/4 nuts and dam were they tight I ended up using my 4lb hammer and my last nut I had a bad swing and got my pinky bad 6 stitches lesson learned and I can’t wait to get the right tools

The magnet pick up tool looks nice, but seems kinda big. When I drop bolts etc, it’s always in the most narrow spaces 😅

I had to put a fan motor in my condenser (outside unit). After I put it together I noticed tie wrap laying inside. I could have left it but it would bother me and I didn't feel like taking the top off again. The first claw pickup I tried wouldn't fit through fan grate. Second one just barely made it. They look about half the size of the VIM's. Make a smaller head for tight spaces. :)

The bendable one that stays in the shape you want makes sense to use but the one Michael has in his hands that just flaps in the breeze is a POS ...Throw it in the trash ! On to the next tool ! You get it it a worthless tool that makes no sense just like what he said " you have to use both hands " If thats the case then just pick it up with your hands .. I have one from Snappy from about 20 years ago and it is battery powered by 2 aaa batteries and when you press the button it creats a magnetic field and allows you to pick-up stuff you dropped But it is not very strong so it aint get used that often and i am not even sure if it still works or not......

I mean, the icon bit ratchet is the same in the sense that it comes from the same ODM, there's just your few tweaks to it. Also, no one offers bits with sockets on them? You mean nut drivers?

Do the S2 steel bits in break room. I just broke a bit (not yours) this weekend trying to work on my Harley and am curious to see differences. It wasn’t a bad brand.

Can you make the process easier for Matco to receive your new lineup tools directly to distributors as of late my distributor franchisee has not received a call or any of your new release tool. He will not use third-party vendors. He will only use MATCO tools to buy tools for inventory. I am missing out.

I’m sure if Matco releases anything Vim it’ll be rebranded and at a higher cost. If your Matco guy is only selling Matco that’s on him.

When using a claw style pickup tool you need to see what you picking up. So the stay flex option would be nice but not a deal breaker.

I feel like I’m talking but you don’t listen and don’t respond why is that ? Like before I asked why don’t you make a socket set in a box like milwaukee ? 3/8 drive 1/4 inch drive and 1/2 inch drive ? The cars and trucks people drive are not all held together by torx and bits . But that’s all we hear about .

Bit drive sockets. You could also describe them as 1/4” hex drive. We’ll show them next episode!
