Great video! I'm short and overweight and wish I was tall so I could wear "oversized" clothes without looking sloppy. My favourite ways to elevate outfits are with big, glam sunglasses and pointy shoes. I recently bought a long blazer in a cream/pink colour and love the way it looks when I pop the collar and put my hair in a high ponytail/low bun. Now that we're transitioning to spring (southern hemisphere) I am definitely going to try rolling up the sleeves!

Would love if you could do a video on outfits that actually work for everyday vs outfits that are “standing in front of a mirror outfits”. I find that sometimes I love an outfit but the minute I take my hands out of my pockets and start walking it doesnt look as good, or the tucking gets untucked, or it just becomes too fussy to continuously fiddle with to get it to look nice.

1. All black 2. Tonal dressing/ monochromes 3. Jewellery and accessories 4. Play with your clothing - roll the sleeves, little tucks, buttons undone, tieing, etc. 5. Add some unexpected factors to the outfit - silk and denim

I love your channel. I felt so much pressure when I found minimalism. My husband was concerned that I was getting rid of everything but I saw people declutter with no regrets. Sadly, I now have many regrets and have realized the pressure to be a full minimalist was like a shitty crash diet and I gained all the weight back. I love your more moderate approach.

My daughter, aged 40+, has been wearing all black for three decades. She looks like an undertaker, or some character from a spooky film. To me, it is unflattering, boring, predictable, and safe. Perfect for the lady who wants to disappear into the background & no contest alongside girls in glorious colour, who easily outshine her. She needs help, not encouragement!!!!!!

@@greenjewel509 If you find black unflattering, boring, predictable and safe then YOU shouldn't wear it. If your daughter likes it then why does it matter? Don't you want your daughter to be happy? And don't you think a 40+ WOMAN should be allowed to wear whatever the hell she wants?...

Christina, you’ve put together some great looks. I particularly like your blazers. And that croc bag is to die for. You wear black so well. But I as a Soft Summer have discovered that the deepest shades of charcoal grey, burgundy, midnight blue and emerald green substitute wonderfully for black. These colours work well with each other, with related hues and with white or cream.

Great ideas here, these play well into my new venture - a no-buy year 😬💪👏 I also use double-sided fabric tape (Fashion Tape) to create shapes, looks, or small texture details. I often pull out the collars of button-downs to create a more dramatic v-neck look, which flatters my apple shape. I cut a strip in half and tape it down near the outside of the collar.

Yes, this is so apparent in Australia, too. Down here in the south east, we have a lot of black, galleries, cafe society, etc. Go to Queensland, to the Gold Coast especially and black is only ever seen in a tux at a formal event, and a bikini, and that last one is unusual. The designer of a great beach brand, Tigerlily, said once that she couldn’t give away a black bikini north of Eden (between Melb and Sydney). I wear black shirt dresses and long tanks with palazzo pants when I’m there, but I totally recognise what you’re saying. I couldn’t live in the tropics - black is bad news when the sun is airfrying you! It’s so endlessly interesting to see these factors and influences. 👏
