I’ve definitely got my eye on these to try. I have the STAX Spirit S3 and the Audeze Maxwell and the Focal Bathys are probably my favorite wireless I’ve tried but I think they all might be a pretty similar competition. I was hoping for the option of ANC as I’ve been specifically looking at options for a new flight headphone but I’d still be interested to hear these compared to the others

I tried stax s3 for a week and was amazed by sound but returned due to rly high latency in bt gaming. Bought maxwell becouse everyone hyped them and said they are better than s3 in everything. Returned after one day of testing. I was really dissappionted! High air pressure, heavy and sound.. Well it was the biggest dissapoinment :( for gaming stax s3 are superior for my preference (except latency) the problem is just Im not an audiphile and I cant tell why i liked s3 more. As an owner of both could you help me find words that describe difference between them (sound wise) ? English is not my first language and i find it difficult even my native.

Excellent review as usual! I’m all about sound when it comes to headphones, don’t care about ANC or transparency. Having an iPhone, would it be a waste of money going for them knowing I only have AAC codec? Thanks !

Maxwell is a brick. It's not the most portable. The Focal is a much better comp.

Is it me or they don't look very premiun? The Sonos Ace looks so much better. Wireless headphone are kind of a fashion accessory and they don't look nice enough for me to wear them out.

You're not wrong. Build quality looks meh for the price. All the price went into the drivers I guess. Sonos sound is pretty shit in comparison.

@@ibassnote sound is subjective so you may feel that way where I don't, I feel these sound better than the Maxwells...but are much more expensive so it may not be worth it to some to pay the extra

Tried both and it's definitely much more comfortable than Maxwells. Sound wise is about the same. Maxwell may still be a better deal.

There are currently no wireless planar magnetic headphones with ANC on the market. That's how it is Not saying you can't get a similar sound that includes ANC using a dynamic driver, but planars are still relatively new, and are much more difficult to manufacture

there is a lot of high end headphones that dont have anc. anc doesnt make the headphones premium necessarily. anc is just for commuting purposes

in the grand scheme of audiophile quality headphones, bluetooth and anc is for pus*ies. If you hv one less of them, it makes you half of pu*sies for wanting that in a headphone. The main point of this headphone is the technology of their driver itself which will greatly change your experience of music and gaming. Not all the unnecessary bells n whistles

The Edifier Stax S3 have a little noise when the amp is on. I can only imagine that planar magnatics are not a good match with ANC. These are audiophile cans.
