As someone who is more than happy to bring on the electric car revolution, I think Roman is kinda right about the issues with EV’s, but not quite. Yes the price is at least 50percent of it, but there are just too many other flaws. The range for anyone who wants to go a distance on a regular basis is bad. Also the charge time is just way more for longer trips. And the biggest one other than cost is that if you don’t own a home you’re just out of luck. Off you can’t charge at home then you might as well not own an electric. Most people in America don’t own a home. We either rent or have an apartment we rent. If you can’t charge at home then you’re going to be very hamstrung. Also if you dont upgrade your charger your gonna wait a long time to charge that thing and probably not drive on the weekend so you can top it off. This is just way too much cost and inconvenience to deal with. The cost of the car is just the cherry on top.

I’ve said this in a previous video, and I’ll say it again since you guys brought up your displeasure in the Toyota Land Cruiser stuff. You guys are obviously smart enough to know that it’s a business decision. Toyota looks at the views that Throttle House and Doug Demuro get, so they give them special privileges. Just as an ESPN journalist would get with a professional athlete versus a smaller independent journalist because ESPN has more reach. I’m 24 years old if that matters, but I genuinely think Tommy and Case as a more comedic, fun, etc duo, similar to throttle house, is a weapon you guys should really consider exploring. Throttle House’s selling point, at least from my generation of viewers, is that it’s entertainment, not just informative. Hence why nobody cares about Motor Trend, Consumer Reports, etc. We want personality, jokes that aren’t always politically correct, etc. And after the last few videos Tommy and Case have done with the Willys and the Renegade, I definitely think that’s something you guys should explore, especially to continue to attract the younger generation to your channel as Throttle House and Doug don’t really have any other competitors in that space

The issue with Honda working with GM is that they were behind but Honda customers are loyal to Honda because of reliability. GM’s issues with the Blazer and lack of quality shows and I think it was wise for Honda to get out of there. Second, Acura has one of the best hybrid AWD systems and it’s a shame they don’t use it anymore. It was only in the RLX and MDX, but it was from the NSX. For some wild reason, Honda is doing hybrids but Acura is planning to skip hybrids and going electric. Not sure that’s a wise choice. Second, Mitsubishi has a lot of issues. I really doubt they’ll be around much longer which it’s sad to see any brand go but one suv can’t save them. Also, the Ford Explorer may be top selling but def due to fleet sales. Consumer Reports has ranked it so poorly with reliability and honestly theyre pieces of junk. Theyre made for fleet sales to be cheap. Lastly, Hyundai and Kia do have some cool designs but the engine reliability has been piss poor at best. I’m excited to see if their electric stuff is better. A lot of reviewers have said their electric N is pretty exciting to drive.

@@michaelmclovin5098 “Inside price?” “ blowing smoke up peoples a-?” We always pay the MSRP. Sure we get first dibs as we are who we are - but we never get money off. We often travel to other states in order to pick up a vehicle that’s priced right. We have the resources to do so. We often spotlight dealerships who try to rip people off. That’s also because we have the resources to do so. We often showcase the pain of high prices, and we bring up “bargains” when we see them. I can’t imagine how we would stay afloat if we settled for markups, or avoided buying trucks that get us views. Do you? To say that we’re lying, or “shilling” for automakers, when we’re trying our best to be objective is simply false. Hmmm I figure Roman for Swing Music. Plenty of whiners complain about where a vehicle is made, but sales numbers show that buyers across the board don't really care. Honda, Ram, Dodge, GM, Ford, ALL of these companies have been making cars in Mexico for decades. Ram and Jeep drivers really do not want to check their door frame for the manufacturing data on their rigs, because it is quite possible their 'merican car is made in Mexico, Italy, etc. Saying that, if manufactures that are moving to China these days, they are making a mistake. Stealing industrial secrets and materials is one thing, but state sponsored cyber attacks are another. Even Buick has been moving away from China to Korea of the last four-five years, showing even the great American automobile that the Chinese love is a little afraid of having two many eggs in the Chinese basket.
