I love the original concept for daedric materials (armor, weapons, etc) they were supposed to be so heavy and daunting that only a god-level PC could wield them. They had gravity-defying 'floating' parts etc, totally reality breaking. These helms would have had full torso-covering sections for example. Source: Morrowind concept art book

As if it couldn't get even more metal apparently the Daedric Face of Terror represents Lord Nerevar's bonewalker form after his death in the Battle of Red Mountain Especially when Bonewalkers are created by binding (often unwilling) soul into a construct made of flesh and bone, resulting said soul becoming mad

​@@hoked2194According to UESP: "The Dunmer have Daedric masks styled in tribute to various revered figures, such as the Daedric Faces of Inspiration (Boethia), Terror (Nerevar), and God (Vivec)." Still could not find anything about "bonewalkers". I could only find this from Elder Scrolls fandom: "This helmet can be seen in the "The Art of Morrowind", the official artbook packed with the Collector's Edition of the game. According to Michael Kirkbride, one of the daedric helmets depicted there represents Nerevar Indoril's more terrible aspect as Hortator and Padomaic champion.

The First helmet in your video can be found via a byproduct of a quest of an old Nord reaver named Ennbjof in the Lizard'sHead tavern in the Telvanni Canton, if you ask him about a little secret and have indulged his request for 1 more Mazte he will reward you a story and give you a key to the door at the bottom of the spiraling stair case within the Marvani Ancestral Tomb into Tukushapal. he hints of the axe Stormkiss of the dead Viking Nord Olmgerd the Outlaw, Bastard Son of Herald Hand-free a nord ruler of the northern coasts of Tamriel.

This is one of the reasons Morrowind I so damn cool. Not only do you have to find this secret location beneath an ancestral tomb, you have to go through a maze and multiple high level locks to get to the treasure room. THEN you have to be either lucky enough to find, or know about, the secret loot room in the ceiling only accessible by levitation or a ridiculous jump potion.

Really appreciate you still playing Morrowind! It brings back all the good memories like discovering an underwater cave for the first time or having to levitate to find a hidden item. Who can forget putting on the Boots of Blinding Speed the first time and trying to figure out how the hell to use them? 😂 I just didn’t get that same feeling of discovery with Oblivion and Skyrim. Too much hand holding and it felt like everything you find, anyone would’ve found it also. Love the games, but Morrowind is just different. Anyways, I’m sure you’ll move onto other games, but appreciate you taking the time to make the videos. 🧀

Bethesda had more designs for daedric helmets in Morrowind dedicated to each one of the daedric princess both the trinity worshipped by the dunmer and the four princes of the House of Problems, Molag Bal, Mehrunes Dagon, Malacath and Sheogorath. But the other four never made into physical items for the game

I had accidentally found one of the Daedric Face of Inspirations while trying to shelter from sunlight as a vampire. Unfortunately my vampire character is an argonian so it's just a cool paperweight for her.

@coffeenutgaming You forgot to mention that you can get a key to the high level locks in Tukushapal for Face of God from a Nord in the Lizard's Head tavern (Telvanni Canton, Vivec). He wants a Greef or matze or something similar and cheap in return, and it means you can go and get the face at level 1 or 2 since you can just open the doors to Tukushapal. Hope this helps someone! (note - you can get enough levitate skill at level 1 to get up there but make sure to have a fair bit of gold to craft it if)

I remember playing this when I was around 16 and finding the deadric helmet with the orange hair from killing a guy right in the center volcano area with levitation getting in. Great to see what the name of the helmet was. Awesome content

If I remebmer correctly, Tukushapal is also part of a quest. Old sailor somewhere in tavern in Vivek can tell you a story in exchange for a drink, and i think he gave you a key to the dungeon.

I found that viking burial ship so long ago I had forgotten the name of the ancestral tomb it was in. Was so impressed the the ship that I don't remember that I located the daidric helm.

I prefer the Face of God personally because I don’t feel the other two match as well with other armor sets. I also think it’s more expressive, more pronounced features on the face itself. It also helps that it’s the best of them in terms of armor rating and enchant.

The interesting part about much of the super rare loot in Morrowind is that they're often marked by those purple crystals. Even as a child I learned to listen out for that certain hum they made, because it told me something special was around.

You can paralyze the arminger and take it from his inventory. You're gonna have to cast an intervention spell to escape or have a teleport spell from a mod. I've pulled it off a few times.

They are naked because they make them give everything up for the cult. Kinda like in oblivion with the mythic dawn. I believe the big troth full of loot is the stuff people gave up.

@@garydunham335 no source other then just playing the game and putting two and two together. The enemy cult members are always naked with only corpus meat on them. You'll find two troths in six house bases near the shrine.. One with coprus meat.. they eat to join the cult.. and the other filled with random loot and clothes ect ect. I find its logical.. they walk in. Take off all clothes and possessions and place it into one troth container thingy.. and go pick up corpus meat from the other. Giving up ones life to serve the cult and sixth house dagoth ur.. ect. Like I mentioned above.. in oblivion.. you find a similar situation with the mythic dawn. The new initiates have to give up all possessions to join the cult. Just from in game experience.. and enjoying and knowing the actual lore.. well it just makes sense. I can't confirm it's cannon.. but it's heavily implied or.. atleast so it appears to me. You should remember these guys are naked and if they rank up.. they turn into various corpus beasts. None where clothes or armor.. some where ONLY sixth house amulets.. They are ordinary people before they join and get corpus and change.. Their possessions are clearly LEFT somewhere.. and I felt that exchange was around the dagoth ur shrine.. because it's like environmental story telling. They dropped stuff there.. got corpus meat there.. joined the cult infront of the shrine.. and that's where their stuff remains.. till you come along to loot it :) anyways.. hope this explains why I assume this. I won't be so bold to say it's cannon or certain.

The enchantment value on bearclaw is high...but endurance is kind of a wasted stat to boost imo. If you want the avoidance from the agility one of these badboys enchanted with sanctuary is better I think

If there's a canon reason Sixth House Cultists are always naked, I don't know it. I think it's just to put across the fact that they're crazy. Being a cultist who worships Dagoth Ur should not look glamorous, hence, a bunch of naked bums with clubs hanging out with monsters. I'm sure they probably smell bad, too. My favorite of the three is Inspiration. I appreciate that they're kind of going for a Japanese ogre look, but to me the others just look like Halloween masks. Inspiration, with its narrow eyes of hate and lack of ridiculously oversized facial features, looks more intimidating and less goblin-like to me.

Say what you want about morrowinds graphics, but they really compliment the armor in the game. Itemize the Face of God would just look Goofy in Oblivion and Skyrim.

I disagree, the face of god qould probably actually be at home in skyrim, as skyrim is all about dark gloomy tones, course they couldn't just port the model and textures even tho they look good, needs better textures for it to exist but then they'd probably lose the aesthetic of it, they always do

you can also get a bunch of them from the eternal guardians, just need to kill them or user a combination of destroy armor/calm down spell so they will put all broken armor into inventory and then you can try to steal it... but killing is much easier :)

Stuff like this is cool and all, but as a seasoned Morrowinder I'd like some more in depth questions answered. Like, what is the difference between a 'Potion of Rising Force' and a 'Potion of Levitate'? Is there any difference. Have I only ever drunk potions of levitate?

Potions of levitate are crafted? I'm just guessing based on the alchemy gui and how they allow you name the potions as you make them

I think the difference is how long and to what degree. Levitate has a degree, 100 points of levitate makes you fly faster than 1 point of levitate. And there’s duration too.

This was an extremely helpful and easy to follow guide. Sadly, I prefer not to wear helmets in Morrowind so I can see my characters' hair and face.
