Good Day, God bless........Michael English is who sang this first in 1991 when he sang with the Gaither Vocal Band. There is a video , here on YT when the GVB was Bill Gaither, Mark Lowry, Michael English, and Jim Murray. I remembering going to see them and being amazed at his voice. I will always like English singing it most, probably because he did it first and that is who I always heard sing it. Of course a lot of people like David Phelps singing it because he is a showman. One thing though Michael English was never musically trained, everything is him, David Phelps is musically trained. Just a little tid bit of info.....Have a lovely day. God Bless.

Your comment suggests that David doesn't have a natural talent beyond training. David is just as much a great singer as Michael training or not. David chose to enhance his abilities.
