I would advise you to get your color analysis test in person and not online. It's much more accurate. There are people who are drawn to colors opposite of their seasonal color. The color analysis is mostly for the clothing closer to your face. You can wear colors outside your season as long as they are not by your face.

Jess, you don’t carry the bags on your face, so the colours don’t matter. You can be pale and still wear a beautiful yellow bag with a dark blue or purple dress. And a grey bag looks phenomenal with a red dress. The clothes should suit your face colour. If you like the bags, wear them. If you don’t like their colours, sell them and buy a Birkin 😊❤

The seasonal colour theory is for clothing (or so I believe) so unless you carry the bags around your neck (lololol) you should keep all the ones that are supposedly the incorrect season for you. Don't think of selling anything until you are better and I do hope you feel better soon! I want to sell everything when I am sick. As for the colors of the bags I don't think your color tone has anything to do with them. Wear a top that flatters you and wear any color bag you like. For example I look terrible in pale pink but that's my fave bag color!

Back in 2020 I fell in love with a dark navy blue Chanel reissue with SHINY gold hardware. I purchased it but when I tried it on in the mirror with a sleeveless top, it did not look good on me and I could not figure out why. I ended up returning it. Fast forward to 2023, I had my color analysis done overseas, and I found out I am a summer! She said I can also do winter colors as well depending on the color. My skin has pink, cool, undertones. I never knew why yellow gold did not look good on me and now I know. I always gravitated towards rose gold. I looked at my entire handbag and wardrobe since then and while I did get rid of most clothings that do not match my skin tone, handbags are a lot tougher considering they are so expensive. Luckily, most of my purses are cool toned and work well but I have a black Chanel classic flap in gold chain and I really wish it was in silver chain. I never use this bag. The prices are too crazy now to switch. I also have a gold hazlan, but luckily the hardware is palladium. I am conscious now of what I buy, but for the purses I purchased before this knowledge, I have kept. I only sell them if I don’t like them anymore, not because of the color season!

With the color theory stuff, once you get away from your face, they don't really have an impact. So handbags would be the best place to have colors that might not suit you but you still like. I would not actually sell a bag that you like just because of that. I am the same color pallet as you (deep winter) so I avoid any caramel/earthy tones on clothes but love caramel colors so have handbags in those colors.

Deep Winter = Deep and cool. You will look best in deep and cool shades of colours. Also, high contrast - as your skin is beige, beige will wash you out, whereas white or dark brown will make you pop. Lily Collins is a good reference. The undertone/overtone of your skin also factors into your personal colour pallet. Example: I'm a deep autumn - deep and warm, but I'm olive (blue undertone, yellow overtone) - I find that deep, warm blues, purples and greens look best on me, but red washes me out (red is opposite green on the colour wheel)

I would actually think that you are warm and bright - True Spring colour palette. As I see a lot of yellow in your skin. The best way to check it is to see veins on your wrist - if they are yellow - you are warm (spring/autumn), if they are blue - you are cool tone (summer/winter). Then you have to check if you look better in bright colours (spring/winter) or muted (summer/autumn). You have a lot of contrast between hair+eyes (dark) and skin (light) so I would think you are more of a brighter season like true spring.

I did my color analysis and was told I am a light spring. All my bags at the time were black. Black is not a color that suits me so too speak, but I still use them. I keep the colors that suit me best close to my face. Since the hand bags are accessories It’s okay for them to be outside of the seasonal palette.

You do look great with deep winter colour pallet I am a winter vivid colours and pastels. I love when you show the vivid picotin is gorgeous. Yes switch them out the brown yellowish Kelly is wushu washy and you slay in black Kelly. But what supersedes everything is if you love it. There are many colour analysis systems out there, adding this dimension to handbags collecting is mind blowing! How about adding another spanner to the complication - coordinating the hardware, gold/silver/rose gold and how they coordinate with the rest of the accessories… Please hold back selling any of your bags, cos the collection is pretty perfect as it is ❤

I did my colour analysis virtually with the Australian sisters! I tired Out to be deep winter. I was shocked because I thought I was warm toned. It made so much sense to me considering the lipsticks I like. But it only affects my top and whatever I wear around my face. You can wear your color palette as clothes and wear the handbag as a contrast.

I think you’re 💯 a true or bright winter! in all the seasonal color analysis groups I’m in it seems like *everyone* wants to be a winter (probably since they get all the beautiful jewel tones)… soooo, congrats! 😂 I think when it comes to bags you have a lot more leeway to play with colors that are outside your color season because it’s really about the importance of having complimentary colors up close to your skin, especially your neck and face. 😊 but then again, I suppose you run the risk that bags outside your color season might not go with your wardrobe as much. anyway, it is pretty striking the difference that colors make when you’re draped. there were some colors that legit made me look GREEN. so crazy. 🤯 also, covid brain is so real. highly recommend NOT to make any big decisions for at least a month. (I signed a big contract when I was recovering from covid and apparently I was living in some type of la la land at the time. no bueno. 😅)

Jessi I am a deep winter too, but the color palettes are only a suggestion, they're not a must, also you can change how you look with makeup. If you want to look more yellowish undertone just put some contour and use some brown makeup. I believe the camel Kelly is a stunning bag, pls don't sell it, unless you don't like it.

I did a in-person color analysis. I’m a true winter. But it doesn’t mean accessories have to follow your color chart. Bags are far from your face so it’s okay to not follow the chart. You wear what you love. And yes, makeup is on the face so it’s best to follow the chart. And you will naturally go towards that suit you without you realizing it.

I follow one colour analysis specialist that embrace other palette that you already have and how it can play to be strategic using your own palette

Bag colors don't count. I'm a 'winter', but I would still buy a orange bag. The color that matters most is the one nearest your face, and your cosmetics. Remember that everyone can wear the neutral pallette. Also, denim is 'neutral'. Do keep the Kelly! It is neutral!

I don’t think those rules apply to bags because as some others have pointed out, they are accessories that don’t go close to your skin. Actually when you placed the brown bag against your top, it looked amazing!! I think because of the contrast of the bright green and brown, colours you see together in nature :)

I don't know if the gold color birkin suits my complexion or not, but I have it and use it. No one I think really thinks about bag colors that look with skin tone as they do clothes. I only sell bags if I just don't like the color of the bag itself.

Thank you for sharing the test. I always thought I'm Autumn being Strawberry blond with green eyes. But I always leaned to different palette like mauve, dusty lavender, turquoise. And here we go, I'm a soft Summer and it gave me all my fave colors to wear. 🙏 We shouldn't take results easy though, own and wear colors you love 🏳‍🌈

I usually just buy colours of bags that I know will match whatever is in my wardrobe tbh. When it comes to clothes, I never refer to a colour chart, but I do put tops/outerwear close to my face to see whether I think the colour suits my skin tone, or will wash me out.

I agree that you are a deep winter. I'm a bright winter and wear similar colours (a bit lighter and brighter tones). I think the thing to keep in mind with winters is that you're going for cool tones, so the pinks all have a blue undertone, and the greens also need to push more blue than yellow. It's why the etoupe suits you more than the gold or beige. I don't think that means you can't wear any other colour, especially in a bag, but I still tend to gravitate to my colours even with accessories

Hey Jess, I think if you want to be more serious about styling with your palette suggest doing it with professional colour specialist than online self diagnosis… you may actually be in summer palette but able to borrow colours from winter palette… I did mine via colour analysis studio in Melbourne and am so happy I got it done (not sponsored or affiliated) ❤ the result I got was slightly different to the online tests you used but that slight difference on result made huge difference in real life colour choices

It seems as though some think the seasonal colours are bogus but immediately after you put up your BF’s palette, you looked more yellow/washout out than with “your” colour palette. About keeping or not your purses, if we stick to theory, they say the colours that suit you should be around your skin and face, so you can keep purses that don’t suit you as much, as long as they fit in with your outfit that does (like your raincoat/red scarf). Interestingly, I found reading about the Kibbe body types gave me an insight as to why certain shapes of purses suit me or not. I really enjoy YT’s Ellie Jean Royden on this topic. Nothing about this is serious, but still fun:)

A gold Kelly is a classic.It's not near your face.Size is far more important re:scale.I have never heard of choosing a bag for skin tone.I used to work for a Major designer and we would roll our eyes when people would come in with those pallet cards.Just choose what you love.

I think you may actually be a summer color palette. I was trained in doing colors years ago, and I’d like to see you in pastel colors, and lighter versions of the winter colors. For example, light pink handbags, light green, light blue etc. And I’d love to see you in pink lipstick instead of red. Whilst it’s very much an 80s/90s thing to ‘get your colours done’, i personally think there is some truth to it. I had mine done years ago and it turned out most of my wardrobe was fine as i intuitively knew what suited me and what didn’t. I’m winter and I had already worked out that I looked ill in yellow, brown, and cream. However. Whilst I tend to buy clothes that suit I don’t think it extends to bags. I wear tan coloured bags and shoes. They look fine as I wear them with neutral clothes which suit (black, white, grey, pale blue).

I've watched vlogs where people go in and get their seasonal color professionally done. Maybe you can make a vlog and do it in-person. It looks fun when they flip through all the colors.

I didn't even realize that color analysis stuff applies to accessories? I thought it was only for clothing? In my humble opinion, accessories--bags, shoes etc--always work well when they contrast the clothes instead of being matchy-matchy? So if you agree, then maybe keep the ones that are outlaws on the color analysis. ha! In any case, keep the bags you adore. If the issue is too many bags, I think you'll apply that strategy too. DO NOT SELL YOUR BAGS! Unless that’s what you really want to do. I do think you are a winter (as am I) but that doesn’t mean you can’t wear other colors in items away from your face) Especially when it comes to bags. You don’t wear a bag against your face so it doesn’t have to be treated that way. It may affect what you wear it with and a particular bag may not go with most of your colorful clothing but most bags will go with neutral clothing (black, grey, navy, white, cream, taupe). So sell what you don’t use but keep what you do. So I agree the tan Kelly should not be worn against your face. But it’s not a sweater so that’s ok.

I can’t tell u what to do, but maybe keep the vintage natural Kelly. Even if it’s not in a bright or deep color, the classic & neutral aspect makes it so versatile. Maybe not today, but maybe in the future you will want something neutral/classic. I do personally think that Jypsier color is too BRIGHT, but it can be styled with other greens as a poc.

I really think you look your best in warm, earthy shades! Some of your videos have had a soft mauve, soft Camel colors, soft forest greens.. with a soft lip as well, would be 🤌! I don't think the bright lips, bright tops are as well suited with your skin, however, I don't think it is very important in bags.. regardless... if you disagree, no biggy! do what makes you happy!

Hmmm….many thoughts on this. First, you should get your colours analysed professionally and in person if you are thinking of altering your wardrobe (online can be inaccurate if you are hard to analyse). Second, what do you care if some bags don’t match you…some of your bags are collectors pieces and rarely leave the shelf 😂 Third…even if a colour doesn’t match your skin, you’re not wearing it close to your face. There are plenty of contrasting combos you could wear (eg that tan bag is a great contrast to your favourite Blue Jean colour) - so wear it with some blue jeans!! If you want a bag to match your wardrobe…sort out your wardrobe first

Interesting topic. I can definitely tell the natural Kelly is not your color when you hold it beside your face. In the crook of your arm or hand held I would never notice. When I check for good colors I always hold the clothing up to my face not at my waist so I’m not sure anyone would notice a bag is not “your color”. I agree with others saying sell what you don’t like or don’t wear no matter the color. The green top looks good on you.

Since you asked, my opinion is to do nothing until you are 100% sure of your color palette. It's really hard to do it on yourself and worth the money to have someone else do it. It's hard to tell from here if you are even cool. You may be but in this video you are looking warm. Makeup and lighting can get in the way of really telling. With a professional color analysis you would be put in a neutral room with neutral light and no makeup with someone trained to tell you for sure what your colors are.

Your suited colours will change as you age, hair gets lighter and skin gets darker so every decade will bring changes and, as others have voiced, it’s more about clothing. A bag that isn’t complementary next to your face may work nicely with what you wear. Unless you want to sell-buy-sell I’d ignore the chart.

The pink bags behind you look like summer colors to me (when they were in the shade. Not as sure when they were taken out and in the light. There are some pink shades that ONLY suit summers. In the light the shades were not as clear cut). As for the fluorescent green, you could wear it with an all black outfit. It would look very dramatic. Which is what your colors suggest. Dramatic winter. I had my colors done a long time ago. I do buy black bags, but apart from that I stick with my colors except some Kiplings. And that includes neon colors. Neon looks fantastic on me. I used that website that is supposed to tell you your colors. I sent it two pictures. It gave me two different seasons, both wrong. Both with neon colors to be avoided. Nope, that's all wrong.

Hi Jess, I think the colour palette does hold some element of truth, because when you held up the beige jacket against you, the colour didnt look as good as your green top on you. However with your bags, I feel you don't have to follow the colour palette strictly because bags are just an accessory to the outfit, in my opinion. Keep the brown Kelly it will go with many of the colors in the dark winter range. It would look really good with an outfit in the winter blues and red/pinks. You can wear the brown purse and brown shoes with the colors in winter and cool summer. The light pinks will also compliment pinks in your range.

Please analyse this behaviour. Using the colour palette to give you permission to start selling your bags is just another form of your regular need to sell off your collections. You did it with Louis Vuitton, Chanel and now you are wanting to narrow down your Hermes collection. There are a number of bags you sold for whatever reason and regret doing that. Step back, get fully better and see if this urge diminishes. I mean you can do whatever you want but think about it.
