Gotta get some of those noodles. My chicken and noodles last night were soggy. I have to admit I'm a pothead. Use it for all kinds of cooks. You might consider up grading to one of the Duo Models. They offer 6 different levels for sautéing and at level 6 it's rocking. Also, the pot is flat on the bottom so your oil doesn't run to the side of the pot when your sauteing. Ha traditions at my house my started when I was a kid. Snow hits the ground, potato soup hits the stove!
@thehungryhussey2 жыл бұрын
There's so many variations of IPs it makes ya head spin. My brother got this one for me for Christmas. I would like that Duo for sure if it's hotter and flat (my two gripes about this one).

I make something very similar to this. I use stew meat and regular egg noodles. Once the meat is done, I add more water/stock and frozen peas (and sometimes julienne carrots if I have them). Once it's steaming again, I add the noodles. When they're almost done, I add McCormick's brown gravy mix (about a 1/4 cup I think) in a slurry. Cook until the noodles are done and it's as thick as you want. No sides; this is the meal. For a little kick, I might add some red pepper flakes. Heavenly.

Love beef and noodles. In a dutch oven we usually after browning the meat and set aside would add onions to sweat in the bottom then toss in fresh baby Bella mushrooms and cook those a bit. Return the meat to finish cooking. Add broth and noodles. You definitely have to serve over either mashed potatoes or baked potato. Sometimes add a little sour cream on top with fresh green onion. Mmmmm yummy. Great video thanks for sharing. I don’t own an instant pot and don’t plan on getting one, but is nice to see different way of preparing this wonderful comfort food.

It can be really important with an Instanpot to deglaze the pot before going to the pressure stage. If there are too many "crispy bits" on the bottom, the overheat can kick in and shut it down.

My tipo for that is the SEAR on a separate cast iron skillet, then deglaze the skillet, THEN put it all in the IP. Works well.
@scomart2 жыл бұрын
@@jeffreywhitaker5154 a little moisture (wine?) will easily deglaze the instant pot and all the bits stay put. Plus one less item to clean.:-)
@jeffreywhitaker51542 жыл бұрын
@@scomart I understand that. But even when I use wine to deglaze in my IP it STILL will do the BURN hard stop. So I just do it my way because it’s a drag when you turn on pressure cook and walk away and come back and hr later thinking it’s done then you see the BURN icon.
