@@questionmark1152 you have to be downright insane if you think anyone besides the financially well off would own these. A plethora of people own cars the same price as a single pair of those shoes. Im not taking some BS like Nike I mean some well made gear (which is still expensive as hell for the average person). Heyo, not a lost foot for me, but a lost functionality in the ankle as well as some lost range of motion in the knee. When I walk barefoot I HAVE to use a cane to alleviate some of the weight off my right foot/leg. But when I wear a pair of Mizuno's (brand of shoe, I wear Wave Legacy and Wave Runner 25 shoes specifically) I can walk normally, and it's a natural feeling shoe in terms that it's not messing up the arch of your foot or otherwise. I can definitely understand expensive shoes help people, what I'm getting at is if your Husband is wearing ~12k dress shoes as you're saying, just know some other options are out there, $80-$120 isn't awful compared to 12k for shoes, just mean to recommend something cheaper but still high quality. I've worn some cheap shoes, normal ones and vey nice ones. There is absolutely nothing that justifies this price. Shoes for 200-500 with additional orthopedic shoe insert will be more comfy and as good looking as those.

Back in the 80s in Hong Kong there were still older artisans making hand made shoes. I had some made by an elderly gentleman called Sam Kee who made beautiful bespoke, hand made and stitched shoes for about £80. He is long gone and the business moved to Mainland China factories with much inferior quality. I miss him.

used to have a cobbler in just about every town now you can't find someone to repair shoes, most shoes now days are cheep synthetics and it wouldn't be worthwhile to repair anyway. when I was a kid(1950-1970) even cheeper shoes where leather and well made.

I use to have my shoes made because of my thin long feet. In Sydney Australia many, many years ago and they made the most comfortable pair of shoes. But the people who made shoes are no long in business. Ive found it hard to buy shoes. But no way would I able to buy those hand made shoes. Those shoes look amazing.

I once had custom made shoes, made from the father of a very good friend. They felt like clouds on my feet. They were even more comfortable than my sneaker or barefoot shoes. To be honest… I would not go to such a designer brand but to smaller shoe maker if I were rich and then just enjoy every step in this shoes😅😍
