The $500 motorcycle challenge is back, and this time, the crew is going racing. In this new challenge, our team heads to Juab Xtreme Racing, an intense and unforgiving extreme enduro race in Nephi, Utah. The gnarly track and sizable purse typically attract riders like Colton Haaker, but we were attracted by the race’s all-new vintage class. This time around, it’s not about survival, it’s about whose bike is taking the top step of the podium. From scavenging for parts at Bill's Boneyard and hosting our own "Enduro Olympics" to test riding an Endurocross pro's track, this series is a wild ride from start to finish.

so true people who dont own a bike and want to get into it always think they need a newer bike and something with power these guys out hear with $500 bikes and having more fun than a new rider would with a 7k bike start small that you can handle and get something cheap also cuz you will crash it

Peter Novas quite true. I mean, here I am, never having plumped my cheeks on a single dirt bike, just having the time of my life on a $150 ‘79 XL100s. You don’t need ultra-supple suspension and buttloads of power to have fun.

I rode a vintage enduro last year. One of the best days on a bike ever. Bikes from the 60's to the 90's. Riders from 12 to 90's. Brilliant people, beautiful old bikes getting hammered, hot dogs between each lap. Perfect. Followed up by new bonds, beer and bullshit. More perfect. This video gave me a reminder of that memorable day, thank you. That might sound a bit random but it reminds me that it's not hard to pull the old bike out and spend a day squealing and laughing with my mates. Great bike perspective, love it.

Despite it’s small engine and low ground clearance, that DT175 has really impressed me with what it is capable of in the hands of a good rider. I’m combing craigslist for DT175s because of these videos.

I'm from Brazil and also have one of these (the yellow Yamaha, called in Brazil as DT 180). Theses bikes are so fun, quite light, easy to do some maneuver and really cheap.

Haha I tried but I'm just not that good at this type of riding yet. This was my first time on an enduro course and it shows! My bike kept popping into neutral and the kick stand would come down and tip me over. I did get through that pipe/rock section good a couple of times but I guess watching my failed attempts is more entertaining. -Charles
