@lipstickzombie4981 they discontinued the entire blur lineup as soon as dewy skin became trend, which is just... spineless, IMO. But they also got rid of their super minimalist, natural products only a few years before the clean girl aesthetic became a big thing, which is so funny. They got rid of their amazing kush lip products but kept their mediocre brow gel. They've just become a beacon of corporate mediocrity

Really frustrated that Too Faced got rid of their original chocolate palettes and UD got rid of the OG naked. ABH still has her soft glam palette. Idk maybe I’m living in 2016, but I’m also just frustrated that their perspective on those products was more “seasonal” when they should’ve been mainstays.

maybe brands like Bare Minerals aren't as "popular" because they don't send a lot of PR, so content creators don't bother purchasing and talking about the products unless they get them for free
@ABCEggplant

Maybe it's because I watch so much, but these influencers IGNORE brands that don't send PR, no matter how much they say they don't. Bare minerals is like Estée Lauder and Lancome. Their customer base is the older ladies like myself, the ones who got into makeup before social media. Before social media existed ladies had their brand and they’d stay very loyal, buying the same foundation and basic makeup products practically their whole adult lives. So they’re kept afloat by the people who still follow this system. There’s a reason double wear foundation and teint idole and bare minerals original powder foundation are the top three bestselling foundations despite getting very little influencer promotions

@@lavenduhhhyeah the mineral veil! I’d say the Kosas one is more glowy looking and as a soft shimmer (not noticeable once blended out.) Elizabeth Arden and Clarins are still thriving in my place due to their skincare. Clarins is the one that blew the lip oil trend wide open in the west. Stila and Lorac definitely on the ropes now. Besame is sadly not a store based brand in most places, their exclusivity is stifling them. Lancome's colour makeup is geared to an older crowd, the ones who will not hesitate to drop big bucks to keep their billion year old favorite shade around.👀

Love this series!! I’ve been turning to my Bare Minerals powder foundation a lot lately. Perfect for thiis years Hot and Humid NY summer!! I would love to see them come up with some new blush shades. I love their nude lipsticks. Omg!! Yes the Balm! I have a lot of their products! I feel like the balm is expanding into the Asian market?

Bareminerals base: You can actually use liquid products on top of the bareminerals foundation, because its not a normal powder. (With basic foundation powders, they tend to get cakey if you do this). BM is mineral based, so you can use your liquid concealer as usual on top 🤍

The only things I did like from Kylie Cosmetics was their old packaging of the lip kits and highlighters. The old packaging was so nice and I'm so mad that she rebranded it for the highlighters since they were giving me a nice highlight and made it so natural. I wished she never got rid of her French Vanilla Highlighter. The only Covergirl complexion that I miss was the Ready Set Gorgeous. The lash bash mascara is my go to favorite mascara but I need to try the clean eyeshadow palettes. I do love the Urban Decay Stay Naked Foundation and I'm sad that it's getting discontinued cause that's my favorite high end foundation . Urban Decay's Naked 3 Palette is the only one palette that I miss in my collection so I might repurchase when it goes on sale.

The BM powder foundation looks terrible on my super dry skin! It clings to all of the dry patches and looks and feels crunchy and makeup-y. I want to love it but not a fan. It's one of the worst I've ever tried on my skin.

Covergirl has really tried to market as clean makeup and the makeup isn’t quality. I got the concealer and loose powder. The concealer is so sheer and the powder doesn’t seem to set my face

Hi Kelly, actually The Balm entered in drugstores in the Netherlands. That says a lot. You can't find many American brands in the stores here. Many of them are hard to find even online. The fact that one can buy their makeup in the drugstores here indicates that they look for new markets. Especially people like very much that kind of makeup style in Europe.

I recently purchased the Too Faced better than sex mascara in brown and I really like it because it’s truly brown! I also noticed that it doesn’t smudge on me later in the day and the one in black smudges on me like crazy. I look like I have raccoon eyes by the time I’m off work.

Too faced doesn’t have the heart blushes anymore. They discontinued them a long time ago. They did bring some back in a different country I thought, but those never came here. And that was years ago. They do have the cloud crush blushes now.

@@petra1995 Collaborating with a mainstream IP while you're presenting a high end brand is a desperate and tacky move in my book. Star Wars, really?

@@lipstickzombie4981 I think it's because Pat herself loves Star Wars. I don't think there's any inherent opposition between luxury and mainstream IP, but it needs to be done well. The stickers were... a choice. I, however, don't think rich people only go to the theatre and never to the cinema.
