For a better viewing experience, please watch Karate Kid 1 & 2 at least. It will help open the show in so many ways. The writers of the show are true fans and include many situations that bring back the nostalgia using a person, place, or thing. Watching Cobra Kai without watching Karate Kid 1,2,3, & The Next Karate Kid(H.Swank and Pat Morita) is like watching a show in black & white with low volume. You still get an experience, but not the experience intended for Real Fans. The sooner you watch at least the first 2, the better. It will open up your eyes in Cobra Kai.

Well said, and I wholeheartedly agree. Without the movies, the show is one hell of a ride. With the movies? It's the ride of a lifetime, the kind of thing where you can't be told, you have to live through it to understand it, experience it for yourself.

The deeper you go into the show, the more you’ll wish that you had seen all the movies because it enhances everything that appears in the show better than any other show, which is why it is so successful. The 80s always has the best movies that are mostly done Practically. Explosions are really done, no CGI.

Yes, pretty much every single episode has references to the movies. You catch a lot of subtleties, parallels and ironies you would not otherwise have caught if you did not watch KK1, KK2 and KK3.

I love Cobra Kai, so im so excited that you are watching the series on your channel!!! 🤭 I do have to warn you that there are so many references and characters that will show up from the past Karate Kid movies, into this show. You might wanna rewatch all the movies so you dont get confused and you can be able to understand the characters past and intentions for the future. You dont really have to watch the first Karate Kid movie, but definitely watch the rest!❤
