Building wealth involves developing good habits like regularly putting money away in intervals for solid investments. Instead of trying to predict and prognosticate the stability of the market and precisely when the change is going to happen, a better strategy is simply having a portfolio that’s well prepared for any eventually, that’s how some folks' been averaging 150K every 7week these past 4months according to Bloomberg.

The US-Stock Mrkt had been on it’s longest bull-run in history, so the mass hysteria and panic is relatable considering we’re not accustomed to such troubled mrkts, but there are avenues lurking around if you know where to look. My wife and I are retiring this year with over $7,000,000 in tax deferred investments. up until 3 years ago we were 100% in the S&P. During bear markets we had a perfect plan. We got an investment manager in our corner and didn’t look at our portfolio for nearly a year.

My Financial Advisor is Natalie Lynn Fisk I found her on a CNBC interview where she was featured and reached out to her afterwards. She has since provide entry and exit points on the securities I focus on. You can look her up online if you care supervision. I basically follow her market moves and haven’t regretted doing so.

My advice for dividend investors is to save for a bigger investment if you really want to retire off dividends, My major picks are SCHD and TSLA and a few more that i can't mention because my FA Emily Lois Parker is really strict on discretion, anyway i digress, You can't expect to make a million from a thousand dollar investment that's where most people get it wrong, It's not a lottery!! Make realistic investments!! People say it's good to be greedy while investing..Yes, i agree but there's a difference between being greedy and being delusional haha. For example last year I invested 80k in stocks and made about 246k, but guess what? I put it all back and traded with her again and now I'm rounding up close to a million.

For long-term investing, one of the key strategies is to get a professional to diversify your portfolio. This means spreading your investments across different asset classes, such as stocks, bonds, and real estate, to reduce risk. It's also important to consider your time horizon and investment horizon. The longer you have to invest, the more you can potentially take advantage of compounding returns.

I'm thinking to put some cash in stocks, I was at Salt Shack and i overheard some friends saying its ripe enough, but Is this a good time to buy stocks? I’ve been sitting on over $545K equity from a home sale and I’m not sure where to go from here, is it a good time to buy into stocks or do I wait for another opportunity?

True, A lot of folks downplay the role of advlsors until being burnt by their own emotions. I remember couple summers back, after my lengthy divorce, I needed a good boost to help my business stay afloat, hence I researched for licensed advisors and came across someone of utmost qualifications. She's helped grow my reserve notwithstanding inflation, from $275k to $850k.

Curious what the thinking is in suggesting SPY vs. other comparable options with lower expense ratios? SPY is 0.09% I believe, while VOO (which you mentioned and is SP500) but also VTI or VTSAX (which are total market and not just SP500) have a 0.03% expense ratio. That difference adds up for the avg. joe. SPY is great, has tons of volume, etc. but I think there are better options for 10-20-30yr+ holds.

i’m a young investor, but i feel like i’ve experienced a lifetime of investing on the aspect we have huge climbs and huge falls multiple times.. one thing i’ve noticed nobody seems to talk about is the psychology inverse emotions in investing. when the market is falling, the feeling is when will we peak again, and when it peaks again it’s when will we fall again, it’s never when the market is red “this is great i can keep buying” or green “this is great we’re making money” from my perspective it is never great whether winning or losing
@terribleatchess
@terribleatchess 6 ай бұрын
before anyone says “you’re doing it wrong” when the market is falling and buying you have hope or belief that stock will rise again when the market peaks and when your process is effective and as we’re peaking it feels as no mans land as should i sell since we’re peaking or how much longer is this going to rise and how much will we fall, and i don’t believe it’s about timing the market it’s just the forward looking as when it’s high you feel low and when it’s low you still feel low, maybe in retirement i’ll feel the high but it’s uncertain

Being young you have the advantage of time. Don’t even focus on the daily or monthly performance of what ever ETFs you select. You can also pick more than one. Just be consistent with your contribution on a monthly basis or directly out of your paycheck if you can. Think of it like a road trip you have a starting point and a destination. Your starting point is now and your destination is when you reach 67 Years of age. When driving on a road trip you don’t check the mileage on every hill or valley do you? Well same thing applies here just check every few years incase investments change or you find a better EFT or other instrument.
