I read that she was initially intend as remodeling of Studio Series 86 Hot Rod, but the guys at Takara Tomy took a step further by remodeling her from ground up. The fact that her gun has a Cyber Key hole shows just how much Takara put their passion and love to the toy itself and that giving the right people a chance to show off their talents really paid off.

Fun fact:in the japanese version of cybertron (galaxy force),override was originaly a male called "nitro convoy",but since hasbro in that time wanted more female characters,they choose to give the character a female gender

Exactly how I feel. And never having the original Override mold, this figure is incredible. It got me watching Cybertron again, and while some of the lines are a little odd it still holds up imo. TO SAVE THEM AND THE GALAXY, WE MUST FIND THE FOUR CYBER PLANET KEYS BEFORE THE DECEPTICONS CAN USE THEM FOR EVIL

ive had 2 of the original and as much as i like the character and really want the new one, im convinced the old one came out loose. i dont recall a time where either of my originals were capable of standing, and i got one of them when they were on shelves. they also both broke in the same spot, the tab the holds the leg in place in car mode broke off. excited to have an override who can stand and hold itself together

yeah, hasbro has been putting exclusives out on their website, so that is nice, but it does quickly sell out and can probably not be available in certain areas

GREAT REVIEW!... I went to THREE Walmart stores in my area a couple of days ago... Couldn't find Cosmos or Override at any of them... I had to get them from other online sellers... One of which i purchased from a scalper that was selling COSMOS for more than twice the price of it instore, and I still had to pay shipping on top of that... Yeah, these exclusives for mainline characters and/or new molds needs to stop... Couldn't find Clampdown or Road Hauler either. Had to order those online as well, to make sure I got those in my collection too... I did see all the others variously stocked at those three stores... But, what's the point of these exclusives, if you can't get them IN THE STORES where they are supposed to be sold at?... In addition, I never saw Earthrise Red Alert at any of the half dozen Walgreens I checked, which I checked several times during the winter months last year... I spent so much time and gas trying to track some of these down, and got "nothing" for my troubles... You would think living in a major city, you could find them, somewhere...

I had the original one as a kid still do but that middle piece snapped off and I was never able to find it behold 17 yrs later my parents recognized override and I got it as a gift for Xmas and I had that feel old moment at 21 when i compared the original to the current release I love this fig and recommend it 100 percent

This figure is an enigma in the modern TF world. It feels so stable with the many slots and pegs securing everything in place. The wheels aren't even clipped in; instead they're on good old-fashioned metal pins. There's also barely any hollow areas in robot mode. Override is just so well-made.

Being that Override is Nitro Convoy in Japan, it would've been cool if she (and Legacy Metroplex) had a spot for their own Matrixes (like under the windshield). Would totally mess with the canon, but as an easter egg? I think it would be fun. Totally agree about the exclusives, though. They are getting WAY out of hand. I was lucky enough to find Override and Hauler on my first try (they were my must-haves), but then you factor in stuff like the Buzzworthy 4-packs (I JUST want Fangry!), the Shattered Glass line, Generations Selects, the Pulsecon exclusives, the Amazon exclusives... look. I JUST want to buy toys. It shouldn't be this hard to track down a freakin' Terrorsaur or a ****Cosmos****. Calm down, Hasbro!

My Walmart and Target always seem to carry an over abundance of exclusives and they actually had way to many Velocitron characters, now Ross has a ton of them( I got Scourge for $15) but sometimes Walmart isn’t always great about getting to many Leader classes, other than that I’ve been very fortunate, great video and figure.

I recently aquired this figure and it’s fantastic. I love it so much. Transformers Cybertron has a lot of nostalgia for me and Override was one of my favourite characters because, she’s a bit of a badass. I think the Robot mode is fantastic it’s just brilliant, looks pretty much how she appears in the show. The plastic quality is great, the aesthetic and proportions are way better than the original toy and I think she scales pretty well. The transformation is also quite fun to do, if a little scared in some places but pretty good. My only real nitpicks with the figure is that I think the old toy pulls off the car mode a bit better, particularly the fenders of the front bumper. The wheels look cooler on the old toy as well if I’m perfectly honest. I also think she’s missing a few paint apps here and there but it’s not too bad. 9/10 for me. Xx

if you want a better waist and a slight ab crunch i recommend you trim off the two lower red tabs on the torso, where the sides of the wheelbed and shoulders tab in, the shoulders still clip in in two other places so its fine

I got this 2 days ago, reviewed it, and I literally call it the perfect figure speciffically because of that backpack being minimal, the waist swivel doesn't have issues for me and strangely the backpack ( on my copy at least) doesn't get in the way.

I check my Walmart's toy aisle on my break (I work overnights at Wally) and I was delighted that they had 3-4 Overrides! Hoping to eventually see a Cosmos. Override herself is pretty good imo. Nice change from the body-under-a-shell template they usually do for female characters

I somehow managed to get one in a Wal-Mart in Virginia and I can say that the camera does not do the glossiness any justice, as on the real thing it's as glossy as a new car, but the colors are white and red so fingerprints and smears are barely a problem. However on my copy the right arm slider is really stubborn, indicating why we don't get them anymore, and it had some paint chipping right out of the box.
