13:37 bro, you say Buffalos don't need a lot of work. What exactly do you mean by that? It's actually exactly the opposite. Straw, Hay, Silage = Seeding, Cultivating, Fertilizer, Harvesters, Collecting, Equipment. Making TMR. It's a lot even for 10 people on a multiplayer server.
@Farm_FanКүн бұрын
Considering how massive the profits they generate are, that's why I believe the work isn't that demanding.

Buy straw, and make hay/silage off one grass field. Really not bad if you buy straw, and you can sell excess silage for great money

Bees hibernate over winter and eat the honey they make over summer as well as the fact that in the fall the queen will fly out of the hive with all the male bees and whichever one can keep up with her can stay and all the other male bees are kicked out

The mating part is far more complex and NOT taking place in the fall under normal circumstances. And there is no males left to cick out in the fall - their life span ends them much earlier.

First off Thanks! I know you put alot of work into this so you are awesome! Saves me alot of time doing it my self! IMO mixing feed does take alot. Cut, bale silage, hay and straw. Store it then you can mix it. then feed cows. I think that is alot. But i have a grass dryer and a TMR maker so its drop the grass and straw in and haul TMR to cows.

Your Crop and Animal Profitability videos were excellent and I was really looking forward to this one completing the series. However … sadly, this one has little value to me at all. Factories require inputs which have a value and have NOT been considered in you rankings. What you are calculating is Revenue. Profit = Output - Input. For example: in your Crop Profitability video, the value of Grapes is $11, 206 per/ha. Grape Juice profitability should therefore be: Grape Juice value - Grape Value = Profit $8,172 - $11,206 = $-3,034 (Loss) Here you discovered the value of including the input value to show the actual profit (loss) from this factory production. How many other Factories have low profits (or losses) compared to the input value. I have no way of evaluating the added value of the factory and the ROI, compared to just selling the base product (input) for its cash value as you should obviously do with Grapes (and many others). Per/ha comparison makes sense when calculating Crops and Animals and ranking them against each other. The per/month data is way more valuable than the per/ha data when deciding on a factory. If you also take the input into consideration, not only do I have a real profit margin, I can also calculate the return on the factory investment (ROI). Finally, Potato Chips using Sunflower Oil might end up being one the most profitable products in FS25, but without the Input Costs and ROI … who knows? You said that the Potato Processing Plant can hold 240k potatoes, ‘enough to last an entire year of production with plenty of surplus left over’, but you actually need 288k potatoes to keep it running all year. ‘The only downside is the factory cost’ …but you failed to mention that you also need an Oil Mill to produce the Sunflower Oil, which is another input cost, and I would add the Oil Mill price to my ROI calculation. After all the work and detail put in to making great videos in this series, I don’t think this one was worth the effort involved by only showing the Revenue per/m and per/ha. Side Note: Not all factories are created equal, most are ‘divided’, splitting production if activating multiple products at the same time. The BGA(s), Grain Mill and Sawmill(s) are not, you can run all products at full speed, without affecting the speed of the other products. This is a huge advantage if you have excess inputs, especially when considering ROI. I might go to the trouble to show an example of including Inputs to get an actual per/month Profit, so we can see what I’m talking about:

Example: #1 Bottled Goat Milk $354,002 per/ha (of Grass) Less the value of the Goat Milk $237,670 per/ha used (as shown in your Animal Profit vid) = $116,332 per/ha Profit. Even though this is now an actual profit, it still doesn’t tell me much. I need a per/month profit so I can see the ROI, like this: Dairy (Large): 144 cycles per/m (10 x GM = 20 x BGM) Bottled Goat Milk (2880) $12,000 - Goat Milk (1440) $8,000 = $4,000 per/m profit or $48,000 per/y (33% profit margin) To put this into context, I can do a single $4,000 contract per month without the expense of doing goats and make just as much profit. ROI Dairy: $210,000 @ $4,000 per/m = 52 months or 4.3 years. Selling Input Instead: Goat Milk @ $8,000 per/m for 52 months will make $416,000. Prices used were the current high price in game this year (GM $5,600 and BGM $4,200) The Dairy only processes one product at full speed (otherwise known as a ‘divided’ factory). If I’m not prepared to pay $210,000 now and then wait 4.3 years to make a Profit from the Dairy, I’m better off selling the Goat Milk and make $416,000 instead. Break Even Point: Dairy (Large) producing Bottled Goat Milk = 13 years for a total of $1,124,800 Profit. This is how long it takes for it to catch up to just selling the Goats Milk hitting the same profit of $1,124,800 after 13 years. If you are planning on playing for longer than 13 years, I recommend Bottled Goat Milk as an actual profitable product. I’m not expecting you go to this level of detail, but if you have the per/month Revenue - Inputs = Actual Profit, I can work out the ROI and Break even point myself if I want to go that far. But if someone did take the time and effort of this level of detail, maybe Giants would see how unprofitable some of the factories are, and adjust them

This video took me the most time out of the entire series - I spent over two weeks of daily work on it (calculations, recording footage, editing). It’s hard not to agree with your comment, but conducting such calculations would be a big challenge because presenting this in a way that’s understandable even for the youngest players would be practically impossible. Of course, if we’re talking about making an engaging video and not an hour-long Excel analysis. Another important point is that this is still a game where we can simply fast-forward time by one month in a matter of seconds. That’s why I focused on calculating profit per hectare - time can be fast-forwarded quickly, and products can be stored without limits because they don’t spoil, unlike in the real world. For this reason, this approach seems to me the most reasonable when choosing the best factory, as it shows how much income a hectare of land will generate for us, meaning how much real time we’ll need to invest. If fast-forwarding time wasn’t an option, this approach would indeed be pointless. However, in the current context, I believe it makes sense. As I mentioned, your perspective is also valid. Regarding the choice of potatoes as the best product - when I mentioned the high initial costs, I meant two factories. As for the production being enough for a year, it’s actually enough for 10 months. However, since potatoes can be harvested over two months, storage isn’t necessary.

Thanks for the reply. This series was excellent, engaging, beautifully presented in a simple ranking list that everyone can understand. The amount of work put in was exceptional and I know all of your viewers, including me, were excited to see this drop, eager to find a factory that actually makes a decent profit. It’s just a shame that it’s a revenue list and not an actual profit list. If your objective was to show huge profits from the factories, you certainly succeeded. Maybe showing the real profits is not as exciting and might even annoy Giants and some viewers, sounding negative towards the game we all love. I don’t intend to be negative toward you or the game, but I would like Giants to improve the profits of factories. It actually doesn’t take long to work out the profit for a single product, but if I was doing all of them I would make a simple spreadsheet to do the work for me. For example this took about 20 mins to work out manually, without a spreadsheet: Potato Processor: Chips w SF Oil 240 cycles: Potato 100, SF Oil 5 Input: Potato (24000) @ $460 = $11,040; SF Oil (1200) @ $3,900 = $4,680 Input Total: $15,720 Output: Chips (7200) @ $2,750 = $19,800* *You took the output (Revenue) for Chips x 12 to get $233,000 per year (profit???). Actual Profit: $4,080 p/m (20%) or $48,960 p/year ROI Potato Processor: $360k = 88 mths (7.3 years) ROI Plus Oil Mill ($240k): $600k = 147 mths (12.25 years) But most players would sell the extra SF Oil the mill produced for a Profit of $3,600 p/m = 66 mths (5.5 years) getting a ROI on the Oil Mill before the Potato. The Break Even point is scary with a low profit margin and high factory cost, I didn’t bother to work it out, but it’s longer than I’m prepared to wait (or forward time) to make more than selling the Potato & Sunflowers for their best price each year. Personally, I don’t consider this a profitable factory or product. Rankings for per/month Profit could look like this: Rank: Product: Profit (ROI) #1: Chips (SF Oil): $4,080 (88) + extra SF Oil: $3,600 (66) #2: Bottled Goat Milk: $4,000 (55)
