As an Ilonggo who lived in Cebu for 6 years and coming back and forth, the one thing I don't wish Iloilo to become is a suffocating metropolis like Manila (and perhaps a bit of Cebu), regardless of the status of cafes. I wish Iloilo would not grow too fast and therefore retain it's provincial vibes...

I wish the same. I also worked in Cebu for 5 years, and while it has its charms, the effect of rapid urbanization can sometimes impact certain 'provincial' vibes.@@janTurtle1
