I'M SO HAPPY LOLA NORA'S EATERY WAS FEATURED IN THIS VIDEO! I used to go to University of Iloilo and Nora's was just across the street from my school, we are a half day class only and after class before going to the gym, I always eat at Nora's to get that homemade taste and feel at home kind of vibe especially from the Lola's serving the place. This video definitely took me down memory lane, thanks to Erwan and the staff for featuring our beloved city of love.

Why do we negrense call ourselves ilonggos when we weren't raised and do not live in Iloilo? If our ninuno came from Iloilo, isn't it na they're the ones who are ilonggos lang? Pero kita who were born and raised in Negros, I don't think we're ilonggos. They have a different manner of speaking and way of life than those who were born and raised in Bacolod or Negros.

Living in Iloilo for 4 years throughout college has taught me that the best food in Iloilo can be found in the carenderias, some of which have been present for decades. You can go to place that serves La Paz batchoy since the 50's to a carenderia that specialized in fried chicken since the 40's all in the same area. What I miss most is eating bingka in Molo Plaza while peoplewatching.
