I have a theory, all GenX who died went to Hell to regroup. The devil couldn't control them so he's starting to send them back in the form of GenX Squared.

You have a valid point. My grandchildren are totally fearless and feral. As was I, along with my two brothers. I raised my daughter to be the same way. We all have the scars to prove it.

Omg, you just brought back a wonderful memory for me. My youngest brother, at about age 6, came in and asked my grandma for a jar to put some worms in. He came back in with a jar full of "worms". So proud of how big they were. Grandma nearly fainted on the spot but had the presence of mind to take the jar and send me to get my grandpa. He had found a nest of newly hatched/born snakes. I never knew what kind they were but my grandpa took care of the "worms" and grandma had to go lay down. I haven't thought about that in years. 😂

As a xenial, that child makes me smile. Just like I was at that age. (And yes I totally chased the older kids around with a garter snake. :3 ) That's a future snake keeper right there.

I found a really chill corn snake at a pet store for my son, it was a gentleman when handled, and ate minnows he would catch at the river once a week. We put the minnows in a shallow glass dish full of water and it would hunt them, very educational and entertaining. Bait stands for fish in the winter. My son learned a lot about snakes and has respect for them, no fear.

I was born in 1962, so i am in the tail end of the baby boomers era. I use to catch snakes and lizards and sell them to pet stores. Just a couple years ago I was working on a house and there was about an 18 inch garter snake in the bushes by where I sat down to work and I pulled it out of the bushes and showed it to my three buddies I was working with, and they all ran away screaming. 😂

#thedadbodveteran I don't know if they are tougher than us. But I like the fact they aren't easily scared. When I was 5 I was in my grandmas garden and I came across an injured Eastern Massasauga Rattlesnake. I got it water, I hunted for it's food, I kept it safe. My momma freaked out. What did my grandma say? Leave her alone, she's fine. That rattlesnake would slither into my lap and curl up for warmth. I build it a little house and set it up as best as my 5 yr old self could understand to keep him warm. I spent my entire day with him and when he was healed, he left. Next 4 summers I saw him every summer. He eventually moved on. When I was 21. My mom and I were driving back to our house. I came across an injured wolf family. I got them in my car and took them home. I emtied the shed and set it up so they could be warm. I then got them water and food. I went and bought raw meat from the butcher. I cared for the wolves, fed them, watered them, and kept them safe for 4 months. I kept them an extra month just to make sure they were fully healed and fed. I also worked on mobility and did physical therapy. Then, when they were ready. I drove them hours away to a safe area where it was all forest and released them. I also gave them the rest of the meat I had. I went and checked on them to make sure they were fine and could care for themselves. They could smell me and would come greet me. They eventually moved on. I was so happy I could help both the wolf family and the rattlesnake.

I would drive my mom crazy bringing things like that home and showing her. I am in my 60's now. I think it is a personal mental thing not a generational one. My dad was glade I had no fear of creatures. He would call me to kill the spider. I might just catch it and show it off. My mom seemed to use my middle name a lot.

ROFLMAO! Those big 300lb guys are too soft. Alabama upbringing left me with NO fear of snakes. You either learn how to deal with rattlesnakes and cottonmouths, or you live life as a nervous wreck unless you live in the middle of a city. C'mon man, us Gen-X'ers are tougher than that.
