Love how Maruyama takes inspiration and references for overlord from various mythological and almost dead religious contexts such as Paganism, Zoroastrianism, Norse, Shintoism and shamanism among others.

Anime you were curious about is Parasite The Maximum, an action horror anime. The story is complete. Alien parasites land on earth and infect a lot of people. Those infected feed on humans. It's an extremely violent series.

The worst part of Kyouhukou's room is that he continues to heal his victims indefinitely so that they never run out of meat.😨 It makes sense that Touch Me is an insectoid considering its entire hero theme, since in Japan due to the influence of Kamen Raider the insectoid image (as well as scarves) are seen as synonyms of heroism. That's also why in Pokemon Bug Types are strong against Dark Types.

Heavy Masher and some of his crew shared that cyclic devoured healed devour that Hilma went through without a stop for questioning. I imagine he was probably making stuff up to tell Kyouhukou after a while just to slow down the devour part even tho they weren't really there for interrogation.
