From the 1991album, " Blood Sugar Sex Magic", this song describes the tumultuous break up of frontman Anthony Kiedus and Carmen Halik. The upbeat music with a somber message in the lyrics mirrors the contradictory feelings that come with a relationship. This melodic ballad consisted of percussions instruments that were junkyard debris and a hypnotic bass line. Great tune. Great reaction Harri.❤ Grest choice Brandon. 👏👏 Cheers from Canada ❤❤🇨🇦❤️

Hey there my Bestie! You REALLY have to watch this little like mini behind the scenes documentary they did about themselves. You'll really get an insight into Flea the guitarist AND how amazing of an artist he is. ALSO how much of a humble and gentle person. Also how much he truly has a sense of friendship and love towards Anthony Kiedis! They are not just bandmates with each other but they're like actual brothers to each other. It's a beautiful exchange to watch how each of them speaks about the other with such deep love AND genuine respect and generosity for the person that they are inside. I really hope that I explain this in a way that it makes sense to you. 😉💜😎 #NYGenXBIKERLady

There are very few Chili Pepper songs that I like. This has always been of of those few. This was very popular when I was a sophomore in high school.

One of the MANY THINGS I LOVE about the Red Hot Chili Peppers is the fact that you always get a beautifully visual video when it comes to them. You knew whenever they were coming out with a new video. It was never going to look like anything else they had ever done before. They weren't like other bands in the way of being formulaic in any way... If that makes sense? It wasn't like they found a certain way of doing a video that was popular and they kept to that style. They will always pushing the envelope and changing things to make it very creative each time. I will say it just like I say with several other people...he IS one ok? We have pet names for each other... I call him MY sweet honey lamb. Anthony Kiedis for some strange reason seems to have the nickname for me as THE DEFENDANT! Stalker IS such an ugly word! 😂#NYGenXBIKERLady

Blood Sugar Sex Magic is a wall to wall good album. I loved what they did with the drums here. The song is basically 3/3, but if you played it straight, it would take quite a bit from the groove. Well done.

I get why you have that Beatles reference. It sounds most like “Norwegian Wood” to me.

I never thought about it before, but the Mellotron sounds is very Beatlesesque
