When i was a kid, we were too broke to own any sort of gaming device. Best things we had were a radio and a TV. Something curious is that the video was WAY ahead of it's time (1998) graphically speaking. For example, Half-Life was released in 1998 too and the characters in the normal version still looked like a bunch of polygons put together. Vice City was released in 2002 and it didn't have nearly as good graphics as this video. I know it may be due to the fact that this is just a music video and not a videogame, but just imagine a 1998 game with these graphics.

@@chanceviveros4263 the song is all about the effect that Hollywood and Los Angeles has on someone. you always hear about young Hollywood stars or rock stars become drug addicts or they come out on being molested. it’s all about how Hollywood seems like some amazing town where anyone can be a str, but the truth is it destroys you. like the pre-chorus says, “First born unicorn”, meaning a young and innocent youth, “Hardcore soft porn” the youth grows up too fast, to the point where they die young, believing in the dream that is “Californicaton”.

I think either Otherside or Scar Tissue are my favorite RHCP song (goddamn Californication is a crazy album man), but this song is just so timeless and awe-inspiring in its' theme and composition I think it truly showcases the best of the RHCP sound.
