Haulover Inlet in Florida is a popular spot for experienced boaters seeking a thrill. Known for its challenging conditions and strong currents, the inlet connects the Atlantic Ocean to the Intracoastal Waterway and is famous for its rough waves and strong winds, which can make boating hazardous. Despite the risks, many boaters are drawn to the inlet's challenging conditions and the opportunity to navigate through it.

Anyone that owns a boat Rufter know riding the waves maybe fun, but slamming down on them will damage your hull and your bum. In fact it hurts! A perfect example is why side entrance doors on the side of a boat no longer latch, they're sprung from the stress a boat under goes when in rough waves.

The lack of PFD wearing is even more insane than the way some of these people drive. These dangerous boaters have been filmed for years in this exact location and yet law enforcement turns a blind eye. I was sailing in Annapolis , yards from the Naval Academy right near City Dock. A couple of the kids with PFDs, were dangling their feet over the transom and within minutes a Patrol came by and admonished me. And they were absolutely right. What goes on in these videos is far far more dangerous.

I've posted this on some of the other videos from other people: Why in the world aren't the marine, state/county, Aux. or full time Coast Guard people stopping boats heading to the ocean with young kids not wearing PFD? It is insane, whether they are going full throttle or dead slow, kids under 12 should all be wearing a lifejacket. Actually, if anyone had any brains, everyone on a boat should be wearing one. If they won't put one on, then leave them on the dock or send them back home to pool in the backyard.

Why do so many boats have so many engines hanging off the back? If a prop cuts through 12"s of water, per revolution, having more than one doesn't change the amount of water, they each cut 12"s. It just seems like a huge waste of fuel using 4 engines. I understand drag, and prop slip, and for racing, I understand the need for every edge, no matter how small, but almost every boat in your video is being used for recreation, not racing. I find it odd that someone would spend $150,000.00 on multiple engines, $3,000.00 on fuel in a weekend, when one engine, and $400.00 would have covered the same miles, in the same time. I stopped driving my 1,200hp street dragster to Dairy Queen, shortly after the cop stopped writing tickets for me. I'm 69 now, and get around on a mountain bike with a Predator 212cc, one cylinder. Keeps up with traffic just fine. My lawnmower burns more gas than my bike.
@michaelmaas5544

If you think one engine is going to push a 30-40’ boat as fast as 3 or 4 are going to you need to rethink things. One engine one a lot of these boats wouldn’t even get them up on plane. Most them are running Merc 450s that cost around $60,000 each the newest Merc 600 Verado’s are about $115,000 each
