Ever since your previous video on the index card method, I've been trying it out too. And I must say it's so much more effective than I thought it would be. I'm such a visual person that I thought a vision board would be more influential, but the fact is that it's just distracting before fading into the background. The index card method is so much better - thank you so much for posting your previous vid, and I can't wait to find out what you have to say in this one!

Seriously though, THIS HAS ALSO CHANGED MY LIFE! I recommend it to others because it is daily subconscious repogramming codes. I read them while I am walking, and generally have them out/visible whenever I am doing something related to the card (e.g. "I meditate everyday" is in front of me while I am meditating). When I am "unsure" of what I am doing in a moment of my day, I can mentally remember the card, so if I am on the fence about going for a walk, I remind myself that "I go for walks everyday". It is a wonderful way to reinforce/stay accountable for all the shit you desire for growth, versus giving into the comfort. Thanks Lefie!

In the Irish language, "I am sad" is "Tá brón orm" which translates back as "the sorrow/sadness is on me". I only thought about this now, but it also means sadness can be taken off of you too. "Tá athas orm" is " the happiness is on me" 😀
@melaniezoe093 жыл бұрын
(Edit: I didn't see that other people had commented the same already. Sorry! 😅) That's really interesting! I was going to comment that in Spanish we say "Estoy triste", which broadly translates as "I'm sad", but its real meaning is "I feel sad". That's usually a difficulty in learning Spanish, the difference between "ser" and "estar", where the verb to be would be used in English.

The feelings section: I said one day to my son: "I am anxiety" rather than I am anxious - or even, I feel anxious. He nodded and said, "Yes, you are." Well, that's not what's on my birth certificate. I have yet to change to the "I currently feel..." but I'm going to start today. Also, I'm thinking of that now like a weather report: "Currently I feel anxious (ETA: and I typed anxiety - lol) but there's a shift in the atmosphere and better front of emotions are moving in."

These change every week bc now things are being completed The Beliefs cards get me thru the day. I now don't let the hours get away. I even have a box limiting my soc media and zoning out time. So helpful. It's a coach in a pocket. It's personal rewards I can see. A checked box let's me know that I am progressing towards these goals. Some for now, some forever, all needed. I made something sort of like this once, a meant to look over every day aspirational goals and quotes booklet. I dug around just now and found a 2x3 inch notebook with perforated pages that I think will work well to combine that old project with your idea. Hate the idea of index cards for this for myself because my dissertation has used so, so many and I'm not done with that yet so I'm spiteful and vindictive towards notecards and will be for at least two more months. Figure is not the best idea to combine my vision board with something that makes me angry lol.
