People need to chill out.

Exactly, it's like trying to find the smallest reason to cancel influencers, and cancel culture has become way too normalized these days. Blaming HER for the hack not working on you is petty-of course, it won't work for everyone. And the James Charles situation actually left me confused. People are hating on him for his new blush packaging, claiming it’s a copy of Patrick Star’s, but packaging similarities don’t really count as copying, it's about the function, which is used by THOUSANDS of brands, just the Patrick Star one got recognized and gained fame online. It’s like people are looking for any excuse to stir unwanted drama, ridiculous

About packaging: the manufacturer who makes packaging could do the same components or parts for components for a lot of companies to use. Developing new packaging is high risk to invest, so a more secure way for any brand is to make existing packaging visually look different. Imagine like many different cars could be based on the same platform. Nobody can blame any company for trying to save money on packaging since firstly you get the product and secondary - experience. If the product fails for lack of quality, the company will at least save some money on packaging to invest in a better lab. Everyone is interested in the survival of the company first in a long-term state, so invests should be made carefully.

If you're looking for a way to enhance the staying power of your lipstick, consider using powder to help with transfer. You can use either eyeshadow or translucent setting powder, or even both. This technique has been around for a while - in fact, my grandmother used to set her lipstick with powder. You can apply the powder to the entire lip or just the lip lines, depending on your preference. It's said that even Marilyn Monroe used this trick to keep her iconic red lips looking flawless..

Ok I can't believe I'm defending James, but...Even I have palettes from other brands with a cream and a powder blush. Lmao

Okay I used to mix lipsticks with setting spray(im a professional mua in film and bridal for 16 years😅) and everyone’s different!! Sometimes it was transfer proof on some people and others it had no effect!! “Hacks” in makeup aren’t general!! Even on my last show I made tattoo transfers for everyone and had no problem on everyone’s skin, they didn’t move or rub off and looked real but on ONE ACTOR his skin would not keep it on at all!! We had to redo the tattoos and figure out what we needed to do to prep his skin until it worked! Luckily we did find the perfect prep… ON THE LAST DAY!!!😅😅😅

When I was in high school (‘82 grad-going way back) there was no such thing as setting spray. Two of my friends used HAIRSPRAY as setting spray! 😮 It was crazy to me - but they did wear a lot of makeup for the time. It DID really work and kept their makeup on. I can’t imagine how it felt though.
