The other kid I think is very smart is at 2:00 in the yellow dress. She has her own way of seeing things, is very forthright, and a fascinating young girl. I'm with the kid that believes in reincarnation... because I honestly think I experienced something connected to a past life. WAY back in 2012, my dad and I were in Japan for a vacation. One day early into our trip we were looking for a very specific museum and were walking through a suburban street trying to find it. As we were walking, I kept getting this weird, strong feeling of nostalgia, like I'd been in that specific area before... even though I knew that was literally impossible since that trip was the first time in my life I'd been outside my home country. Suddenly, as we reached an intersection in the streets, I was overwhelmed by a simultaneously vague and crystal clear memory of myself being young and running down through that exact intersection, feeling very happy. The vague part was that I couldn't remember my exact age, why I'd been running through that intersection or why I'd been so happy in the memory. This boggled my mind because, again, this trip was my first time out of my home country and yet this memory would've had to have been from my childhood and I damn well would've known if my parents had taken me to Japan in my childhood. I have been obsessed with Japan since childhood, so there's no way I would've forgotten if we'd taken a trip when I was younger, so knew this memory was impossible. But it wasn't the only odd thing to happen to my during our time in Japan. Several days later, with that memory still nagging me, we went to Hiroshima and visited the museum there with artefacts recovered from the disaster. As I'd been looking at one item in particular, a wooden sandal with the imprint of its owner's footprint still visible, I was hit with an enormously strong feeling. I couldn't name the feeling, but I could tell it was incredibly strong. Those 2 incidents happening within just a few days of each other convinced me I had a past life in Japan and, given what happened while in Hiroshima, my past life had some kind of connection to the owner of that wooden sandal. Were we friends in my past life? Family? Classmates? Was I them? I genuinely have no clue, but I'm convinced there is a connection. I mean, you don't just randomly experienced 2 incidents like that so close together in a country you've never been to before in your life and it just be random coincidence
@ColorCarnage2 жыл бұрын
You need 3 occurrences minimum to establish a pattern. I respect your belief but I do think this is merely a coincidence.
@justahamsterthatcodes2 жыл бұрын
That's facinating! Is there any way you could describe the feeling you had when you held that sandal?
@autumbreeze11292 жыл бұрын

Interesting, sounds like anemoia, the nostalgic feeling and sense of longing for a past your self have never lived. It is a sense that something was intrinsically better in the distant past than it is in the present. that we’ve lost something crucial in our ceaseless march of progress. Few haven’t felt it. Fewer still have contemplated if it really has a meaning behind senseless longing. Perhaps it’s this phenomenon or Mabey it is linked to reincarnation.

For me, the meaning of life is simple: 1 - Leave the world a better place than when you found it 2 - Make sure the next generation doesn't make the same mistakes you did 3 - Pave the way so life is easier for them than it was for us 4 - Be kind
@miffedcuttlefish61392 жыл бұрын
I'm with this except for number 4. You shouldn't be indiscriminately kind. It's not good to be harmless. Peaceful, yes but not harmless.
@DeepFriedSpaceChicken2 жыл бұрын
@@miffedcuttlefish6139 kindness is defined as "the quality of being friendly, generous, and considerate". That's never a bad thing. I understand I will continue to be treated with unkindness for the rest of my life, but I don't have to sink to their level. They're never going to change their behaviour, so why should I? Most attacks thrown at you in life is more telling of the person spewing it, than the one they're insulting. Bullies project their own insecurities. They attack to draw the attention from their faults by trying to expose someone elses. Hurt people hurt people. I don't clap back or try to prove moral superiority, because it falls on deaf ears. You know they wont learn from it, so continuing the argument, it's just an attempt to protect our egos. Plus in the heat of a debate you might say something that you'll regret later on. I try by best to stay calm and reserve judgement. I've nowhere near perfected this but it's a daily challenge. I try to instead feel pity for them. Someone that toxic cannot come from a loving home environment and thats really sad. Being kind doesnt mean you have to put up with abuse. If you've given someone a healthy boundary (explaining why they should stop doing x because of how that action affects your emotional wellbeing) and they've ignored it and continue with the abuse, you have full right to stop contact with them until they've sincerely apologised for their behaviour, if at all. They might be unkind, but you don't have to be. It is so hard, but when you've really practised this, you'll sleep a lot better at night with a hell of a lot less regrets. Sorry for the long rant, but hey, you never know when someone might need hear it. I hope you are well xx
@miffedcuttlefish61392 жыл бұрын
@@DeepFriedSpaceChicken oh, not at all! I agree entirely with you. Kindness tends to be a word that's so often used nowadays as compassion. As if compassion is deserved from the jump. Hence my utter revulsion at the careless user of it. I am well i hope you are too. 😊

Yes, yes just like we wonder what the hell your all on about when you say your not bothered by the hum of the lights, the clicking of the fans or call us rude because small talk seems like a waste of time to us. It's not that I don't care about you or what you have to say but I have stuff to do so I just need information so if I could please just get that skip the part where you pretend to give a crap about me, because this is the part that kind of shits, me we know you don't. You're only asking so I'll ask you in some kind of social contract BS but here's the thing; that little boy 100% wants people to know joy, to feel it deeply all the days of their lives. When I ask about how someone is I want to know the answer, not some trivial pleasanty. I'm asking the good, the bad, up to what you are comfortable with of course but that is the difference in our existences. Oh and also I spend most of my life having people look at me sideways like this, my wife did as well and now I get to experience my children coming home from school in tears a couple of times a week. You think we can't feel the way you do or we don't notice your mockery. Traumatised? What is it that you think you know? Were you drugged into a state to be acceptable for the general public? Were you beaten because of your curiosity? Did you break down and cry because the noise of a supermarket was so overwhelming to you, you couldn't stand it as a child?
