I taught my only grandson about star notes when he was about 8. He just turned 18 and we have been collecting them together since then. It's wonderful to get a text message with a picture of a note from him, and the "Guess what I found" message! It has been a great way to keep in touch since he isn't nearby. And it might have some real value for him someday.

I didn't see it at first about the silver certificate but when you went over what you had i was so glad, some of them can go for alot of money. My mom had like 4 or 5 of them but we only found one left, my sister took them not knowing what they was when she was a kid about 8 or do and spent them on candy at a small store. As kids we don't always make good decisions lol but I do have the one that's left and hope my grandson will have the same thoughts on keeping something different like the silver certificate. I love your videos and in the process of making some start up money to do exactly what you two are doing. My daughter and I will be making crafts to sell for our start up money and she is working too so hopefully we will get it going soon, I've almost got enough items to post on ebay and other places to start bringing in extra money we need. Check out all the coins. The Pennie’s could’ve 100% copper and quarters and dimes 100% silver. The JFK half dollars should be worth more than 50 cents. (Those are the ones you thought were Donald Trump.) If you have old coins, there is a reason they were keeping them.

I can't believe you didn't hear me yelling at the screen.....THOSE ARE STAR NOTES!!!! lol As you said some currency is worth good money while others are about face value. I have found value in my everyday spending money or change from a purchase. I have even listed quarters with eagles on the back because there are so many new designs on quarters the older eagle back ones are going up in value. Glad you liked the lures, Wasn't sure if you could use the big one in the ocean, but I knew you could use the smaller ones when you come back to TN. My friend does custom lures and they are all fantastic. He even does some with college teams and some pro teams. Keep Hustlin'!

The unit was good with the currency, and the vintage Ts. I think if you sell them you could get your money back plus some. You said you were not selling the currency,but if you sit on some you may be sorry. The stars and silver dollars are the best value for now. They may go down in the future. Any type of 4 or more repeating sequential numbering on bills can be good. It also would add a lot of value if that number matched the bill itself I.E: you have a five dollar bill with the last or first 4 numbers are “5555” something like that. The money thing is all about patterns in the numbers. If you find small bundles of money and all of the serial numbers run concurrently to each other you can sell them in groups so something like you have 5 bills and they are serial numbers: 45560000,45560001,45560002 ect.

Silver Certificates, at the time when they were made, could be turned in for real silver. Now they are more of a novelty piece and only worth a tiny bit more than a dollar.

Look at the color of the seals on the dollar bills. Look at the top of the dollar also. The seals are blue and it says silver certificate at the top center of the bill. Check the five dollar bill as well. I saw a red seal on it. What does it say at the top front center of the bill. Does it say federal reserve note or does it say united states note. The 5 dollar bill should be early 1900s. Maybe 1923-25. Take all of the money to an expert and get the info for it. You could have a nice little stash there
