Ah yes, i remember listening to this song for the first time ever last September. At that time I had to realize I was failing in school and burned some bridges to people I always thought would be there for me in times where I need them too. I remember crying when I heared the song randomly come up on my weekly mix while I was waiting at the bus stop. In a way, this song summed up where I stood at that point in a way I couldn't have done myself and the line "Preasure makes diamonds, how the hell am I still coal?" finally broke me... Now, as I am typing this, I passed my tests and unoficially know I graduated job training. And I found someone who in less then a year I became friends with in a way I haven't known in a very long time, and I think who helped me to allow myself to love me again for who i was just by being there. And it's funny, because just the other day I had another class mate of mine comment on a car ride he and I took together: "You two really got close in the last year, didn't you?" Yes, yes we sure did. I am not religious, but if it turns out there is a god watching over us, then he was kind enough to look at me and decide: "That dude's streak of bad luck and missary has been going on for long enough. Let's make this young man happy again!" It's been a while, since I literally could just take some time on a busy day to rest my head on someone's shoulder, just to have a moment of calmness and it's been even longer since someone actually answered by doing the same. I know it may be a weird little thing to use as an example, but trust me: Being the person someone actively comes up to to have a little break and calm down actually means a lot more to me then I could have thought, as I found out today..
