Jackfruit is one of the best fruit ever!! It’s absolutely delicious!! I get them from my local supermarket. But, it’s not always good cause they cut them unripe.

You could find best jack fruit varieties at south Indian state, Kerala. This hard, crispy varieties are considered as male fruit types and sofy, creamy varieties are called female fruits. People likes male varities, more. Before ripening, we make super tasty, crispy chips by just deep frying in coconut oil, with salt to taste. The local name for jack fruit in kerala is "chakka" 😊

I have a farm in Hawaii big island and I collect lots of champdek and jackfruit hybrids. My jackfruit trees are mostly the orange crunch type. I find the champadek and hybrids can hold up much better to the rainy weather that we get there.

Hey Paul, I’m in Gainesville Florida, zone 9a. So far I have put a Florida Prince peach tree, a Spalding pear tree, and several varieties of bananas in the ground in the last year or so. My peach and pear tree didn’t grow too much at all due to the deer munching them down all the time until I built a fence around them. I do water them about once or twice a week if we don’t get rain but I have forgotten at times to water for a couple of weeks. This next year, if I stay on top of my watering do you think my peach and pear tree will grow like crazy? I see videos of people who have peach trees in ground that planted the same time and size that I did and their trees are significantly bigger.
