Hi apollo some tips from an experienced conqueror’s blade player - always put your units in formations as if you don’t they will be shredded by enemy hero’s - always use your hero abilities - always use your unit abilities - when your ranged units run out of ammunition do not send them in as you would in total war but go to the nearest supply point to refill their ammunition - your units can heal in supply points - whenever you do not have a unit always go to the nearest supply point to get a new one as battles can be quickly lost if there are a lot of players but none of them have units - use your auxiliaries carefully as they will be your best units for a very very long time, and pick your auxiliaries carefully as you can only keep them for 1 week and you can not change until the next week - during the opening bombardment do not put your units on top of the wall as they will be shredded by enemy artillery but move them on top of the walls only when there are enemy siege towers coming up or the enemy artillery has run out of ammunition - Each situation calls for different units and if you use the wrong unit at the wrong time it can spell disaster - the unit abilities are very helpful, use them! That’s it for now and if you want me to make another one on other things in conqueror’s blade please let me know, and also tell me if I left anything out. Edit - also it is not necessary to bring your weakest unit first, I actually think it is better to bring your best unit first but protect the unit from enemy arty and then bring them up when the enemy has put their siege equipment on the wall and since it is your best unit it should easily throw back anything that comes up that wall and by you, more time, and time in siege battles time is very very important. This will only work if the enemy brings up a crappy unit as their first unit and if they don't, pull back your good unit and get a weaker unit and save that unit.

I would add specifically for Apollo that you should always have your units close by and on the map when possible because with any sudden push by the enemy you can react faster without needing to go to the supply point every time losing you some precious time.

Apollo When your ranged unit engage melee, you need to switch to melee mode (default 5) and they will deal more damage and last longer. Also certain units you have has the ability to charge (default 1) that deal and break enemy formation (non shield). Other than that fun game :)

As someone who has played it, here're some things you need to know: The balance system is off, new players are screwed like- all the time. You can buy a booster to get forward faster, and there are premium units. The servers are almost always empty and they use bots quite often. Best of luck.

Field battles has bots But siege battles usually don't. How did I know? Bots are damn stupid. Its easy to know difference between player n bot. Every siege battle is intense when playing at higher level. But some player might feel seem like bot coz they might be new or they have mid-tier unit only. But.... ranked battles is where all the sh*t is gonna happen. Siege is like practicing, ranked battles are actual showdown.

Tips for newbies!!!!! after you enter your game you will choose your weapon of choice(your preference) Dual Blade: one hit and run. good at solo (Light armor) Poleaxe: good at cc and solo pvp( heavy armor) Spear: good at pvp, lil bit cc and has the only one who has boost while riding horse( medium armor nodachi: good for newbie, cc not good at pvp ( med armor) Long sword : support and heal units( medium to heavy armor) short sword : tank, cc cancel shield units and charge, pvp (med to heavy) Glaive: cc, pvp, heavy dps(heavy) longbow: got nerfed dont use it stamina drain(light) shortbow: op af, range unit killer, pvp and a lil bit of cc(light) musket: pvp and cc(light) not avail in selection but can obtain after. Maul: cc cancel shield units, support (heavy armor) after you picked your weapon get this units SPECIFICALLY! I know do whatever you want or let me play what kind of units i want to choose. These are the multiple units you can get for free after the tutorial Tier 2 units : Pike militia : a solid good round unit once maxed that can anti cav. still used upto this date mostly for filler in high levels Ironcap Arque: Decent range unit in any tier 2 or tier 3 units next to janissaries/namkhan and demesne arque(ye i said it!) Ironcap swordsman once maxed stats including the unit tree line bonus and with decent doctrines this bad bois is the most fastest charge cooldown in the game. a whopping 6 seconds(as far i know of) cooldown and can stun. these 3 will help you. why not the others? rattan roundshields: better armor and survivabilty but longer cc than ironcap nobody uses this shit except noobs. demesne spearman: decent enough hold line but not all the time you will be defending. shit archers i forgot: don’t bother this demesne archers are throwing candies. tier 3 Ironcap Shield: go for this. good enough to hold the line and a huge target for trebuchet. so put these bois in an angle where you won’t get treb. the tier 4 upgrade ver is okay if you dont have time to farm stalwarts. good use for players to heal and DONT PUSH THEM IN THE OPEN IF NOT NEEDED. squires: an average unit bevause its an all rounder. get this if u want a lil bit tanky shock troops in newer levels. for me I started leveling these up and getting the 3% hp bottom veterancy(we will talk about this later) and go full top. that’s just my preference. cause the hp of this can reach upto 8k to 9k( as far as I know) So after you play all the tutorials and play the game for couple of hours you will level up your units. Veterancy lines. Pike M: get mid ironcap arque : get top ironcap sword: get top ironcap shield : get bot squires : get bot (charge damage) but i mixed them up for better survivalbility. What to units to get and how to get? There are two ways: Farm honour and Unit challenges. Honour farming: Siege, Weekly Quest, path quest and stuff. easy to farm honour. Unit challenges gives u free unit. there are multiple seasons by clicking the season change top right and you probably thinking what season you will grind? get the latest season. why? coz after the season over you will be grinding +2 quest to unlock a stage. afterall beating wildflame(s5) gives u wildflame(shit t3 unit) but gives u a path to get a free spear sergs(good enough t4 unit for expedition) and men at arms( washed out cousin of paladins) so you can save around 40-100k honour depending if u want to unlock monastic knights(good cav brawler). and main reason? coz stalwar paladins and fire dudes are op and meta in higher levels (as of s5) after you get those things get condos for filler cost only 180 leadership or u lazy get prefecutre guard max em up. get janissaries hackbuteers or namkhans. BTW after beating paths you will get free t5 unit collection so beat em. join a house to help you. join steam ver and select DI ask in world chat to join Rohan regards to Dumpman. What do you call each group of units relevance? Meta- good units to have that is being overused coz its better units to have. Balanced - Good enough to have if you cant have the meta ones. Filler : if you dont have enough leadership these helps u in early game or crucial for the amount. canon fodders- peasants and tier 1 units to push siege towers and ram. shit- dont bother. How about Unit Tree? it all comes down to relevance. every unit has its own usage and some are just shit and some are good to a certain of circumstances. What to go for in the unit tree? INFANTRY: go for imperial pikeman (meta) advance : top imperial spearguard : decent counterpart for stalwarts (balanced) halbs sergs: decent counter part for forte bracio but still shit (balanced) Iron reapers: got nerfed hardly or got power creeped by paladins and stalwars. but once maxed can head to head with any infantry. Imperial Javelin: Op as fuck if used correctly (balanced) javelin sergs: decent counterpart just higher volume of ammo and lil bit more models (balanced) palace guards: decent counter part for paladins (balanced) halbs t3: good attacking anti cav/infantry once used correctly (filler) ironcap shield: good starting shield unit. prefecture pikeman: shit tier dont bother putting this on barrack slot. prefecture guards: Good tanky unit and a good filler once maxed it can outdo condoterries (s2 unit challenge) squires: decent average filler but get prefec guards or condo instead or much better ironcap swordsman. (filler) all javelin t2 are trash. RANGE: off the bat t2 archers are shit except ironcap arque Kriegs : high volume shooter and accurate decent enough to contend imperial ones(balance) Imperial Arque : OP AS FUCK Highest dps piercing damage once maxxed. (semi-meta) Vassal longbow: FUN TO USE and has much higher safe distance and the 2nd longest range in the range unit next to falconetti. good at anti range. Map knowledge is a key vital while playing this game and Map awareness . obviously as newbies you will enjoy the graphics and the mechanics of the game but try to focus on the match and mini map. by pressing tab and alt you can see different views of the layers of the map, this will help you strategise and understand your next step. doctrines. dont keep opening doctrines it changes day to day. pile em upto 10 stax then open em up. treatise save em. if you have any questions in depth just comment on this. willing to help people to join the fun in this game P.S. if you are worried about this game having trojan. play it on steam.
